Auguries: Bird Divination

Class starts at 8a.m. and ends at 11 a.m.
Please read entire description if planning to attend! This class will cover the basics of reading omens by observing the behavior of birds in nature. Auguries, or techniques of bird divination have been used for thousands of years and were a respected form of prophecy for many cultures. This widespread practice seems to have fallen out of favor, as modern divinatory techniques have become centered on material tools. Reading one’s surroundings for the omens of bird behavior requires no tools, but does insist upon personal experience in the field. Learn how to interpret the flight and habits of birds in your neighborhood for insight into the future. This class will meet at Ritualcravt to check in, prior to carpooling to a nearby park for onsite field experience. Please bring a notebook, water and weather appropriate clothing. We will meet rain or shine!
