Bibilotheque Bleue- Revolutionary Grimoires

From 1602-1830 in France, a mass flurry of cheaply printed books flooded the market. A majority of these books were non-magical in content, but a handful of grimoires circulated among the people, crossing gender and social barriers. These grimoires are a blending of ceremonial and folk magic, with rituals and folk remedies for a variety of health, wealth, love and social issues. In this class, we’ll look at a selection of “blue book” grimoires, what makes each one unique and how to decide which one to work with.

Samuel McCabe is a visual artist, educator and tarot reader at Ritualcravt. He has over fifteen years of
experience with ceremonial magic in group and solitary settings. He offers classes in ceremonial magic,
demonology and grimoire magic. His classes are founded on his personal research into the historical and
anthropological origins and methods of magic. Samuel teaches using a project-based approach that
