Byzantine Magic

The Byzantine Empire was a significant period in history, but the magic of Byzantium will be the focus of this course. What did magic mean to the people of Byzantium? How did they practice their art? What symbols, tools and techniques can be found in our modern praxis? How might someone rediscover this magic today? This class is open to any and all interested in learning more about the art of Byzantine magic.

Samuel McCabe is a visual artist, educator and tarot reader at Ritualcravt. He has over fifteen years of
experience with ceremonial magic in group and solitary settings. He offers classes in ceremonial magic,
demonology and grimoire magic. His classes are founded on his personal research into the historical and
anthropological origins and methods of magic. Samuel teaches using a project-based approach that
