Greek Magical Papyri

February 21, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$25.00

The Greek Magical Papyri, or PGM, is a collection of ritual magic originating in Egypt, written in the Greek language. The blend of Egyptian, Greek, Jewish, Gnostic and Christian influences are arguably the origins of modern ceremonial magic. Discovering the PGM is often a daunting enterprise. It seems so simple, yet we know there are subtleties to the magic not expressed in the text. In this class we will begin with a little background information before diving into actual approaches to the practice. Specifically, we will look at bowl scrying and dream oracles as outlined in the PGM and discuss practical approaches to performing these operations.

Samuel McCabe is a visual artist, educator and tarot reader at Ritualcravt. He has over fifteen years of
experience with ceremonial magic in group and solitary settings. He offers classes in ceremonial magic,
demonology and grimoire magic. His classes are founded on his personal research into the historical and
anthropological origins and methods of magic. Samuel teaches using a project-based approach that
inspires creativity and independence in his students. You can follow and connect with Samuel via
