Greek Magical Papyri
February 21, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
$25.00The Greek Magical Papyri, or PGM, is a collection of ritual magic originating in Egypt, written in the Greek language. The blend of Egyptian, Greek, Jewish, Gnostic and Christian influences are arguably the origins of modern ceremonial magic. Discovering the PGM is often a daunting enterprise. It seems so simple, yet we know there are subtleties to the magic not expressed in the text. In this class we will begin with a little background information before diving into actual approaches to the practice. Specifically, we will look at bowl scrying and dream oracles as outlined in the PGM and discuss practical approaches to performing these operations.
