Paper Mache is a wonderfully magical (and messy) craft which is hundreds of years old. We think of it as a tool for piñatas and kindergarten crafts but it has far greater potential than that. Brilliant sculpture artists and the master mask makers of Venice use it. It allows anyone to create three-dimensional masterpieces with a few very simple, often upcycled, tools. All you need is glue and paper. In this class we’ll be making small wall altars. These can be dedicated to whomever you connect with and, as such, can be decorated in thousands of different ways. All participants will work on two nicho. Paper mache takes days to dry so you’ll begin crafting one (to finish at home after some drying time) and decorate another nicho which Michelle has already built.

Throughout all her years, she has studied art as a window into Spirit and the psyche, and Nature has been her church. Michelle believes that our hands are magnificent communicators. When we let them dig, sculpt, draw, scrape, tie and sew, we are sending messages to and from Heart Center. Our hands, full of sensation but devoid of reasoning, can create pure, honest prayer. In Michelle’s classes she teaches, with a variety of tools, different ways of accessing Spirit using our hands and hearts. Her goal is to help us all access the knowing we had at birth.
