Sufism is most famous as the tradition that has produced some of the greatest poets of all time, Rumi being the most well-known. Far from being simply the “mystical path of Islam,” Sufism refers to itself as the “religion of Love,” with roots that stretch back into antiquity, and has heavily influenced magical and mystical traditions in every culture it came in contact with, in ways that are only rarely understood or discussed. In this class, learn from an initiated and empowered Sufi some of the practices and teachings used by saints and mystics for over 1400 years to enter into a deeper relationship to our emotions, relationships, inner life, magic, and the divine.

Connor Khalil Marvin is a poet, instructor and occult scholar living in Lafayette, CO. They are an initiate of a Kabbalistic-Sufi order and a Druidic order, hold an undergraduate degree in Contemplative Psychology from Naropa University with a minor in Yoga Studies, and are working on completing a Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner certification. They currently work as a House Witch at Ritualcravt, read Tarot professionally, and create planetary talismans for clients. Their magical practice is informed heavily by Hermetic Qabbalah as well as Renaissance angelology, planetary magic, and geomancy. They taught meditation and poetry to young people experiencing homelessness in Denver for almost three years, and have taught online classes on magic and divination. They believe that mysticism is the apex of magic and magic is the apex of mysticism.
