King Solomon is an enigmatic figure within the realm of magic. The magical texts attributed to his authorship are fundamental books of ceremonial magic, like the Key of Solomon. Then there are several non-magical texts (Song of Songs, Wisdom of Solomon, etc.) that seem to add depth to an understanding of King Solomon beyond the scope of the grimoires attributed to him. How do these two different sets of literature intersect and how can this understanding be utilized by a practicing magician? In this class we will survey a selection of Solomonic literature and discuss its relation to ritual magic, demonology, angels and more.

Samuel McCabe is a visual artist, educator and tarot reader at Ritualcravt. He has over fifteen years of
experience with ceremonial magic in group and solitary settings. He offers classes in ceremonial magic,
demonology and grimoire magic. His classes are founded on his personal research into the historical and
anthropological origins and methods of magic. Samuel teaches using a project-based approach that
