Communication is the basis of our experiences with others and the external world. As the ancient Aramaic and Hebrew translations suggest, in Aramaic abhadda kedhabhra, meaning “disappear like this word” and Hebrew avra kehdabra, meaning “I will create as I speak”, language has always held incredible and potent magical power. Violence has been built into the ways in which we speak and relate to one another in the Western world. How can we restructure our speech to match our intentions? How can active listening and speaking activate spells? This class will go over the basics of nonviolent communication, how to increase awareness in relationships to make your needs and desires manifest, and how words impact your magic and psyche.
