There is a darker side to the runes – beyond the fluff of the modern revival of rune workings – a side that can help you to engage and transcend the difficulties of your day-to-day world and into higher states of spiritual being.

Runes from the Elder Futhark hold a prominent place in modern metaphysical practice. But, history gives us another set of staves; darker and more mysterious – the Younger Futhork.

In this class, we will explore the historical and mystic aspects of the Younger Futhork runes, how language evolved from the elder tongues, through the runic era, into modern English – bringing along runic staves and ideologies.

Then we will apply these staves and words to magical formula and sigil construction through bind runes and other means of obscuration. And we will uncover the secret of spiritual ascension, embedded into the three rows of these lesser-known runes.
