DESCRIPTION:ZOOM CLASSES OPERATE THE SAME AS IN PERSON CLASSES. WE DO NOT RECORD CLASSES TO PROTECT THE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OF OUR TEACHERS. \nPLEASE NOTE: This class is not an in-person class. This class is being offered as a LIVE ONLINE-ONLY OFFERING. The zoom link will be attached to your ticket. Please check your junk folder in your email if you do not receive a ticket. If you have not received one please email learn@ritualcravt.com. Please register ahead of time to ensure that you make it to the online session on time! (Class times are in MDT time zone) \nClass fees are non transferable\, please note that we stick to the student agreements clicked on during registration. Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \nRegistration will close one hour prior to class starting. \n  \nDo you like reading fairy tales? Are you swept up in stories of fantasy? Would you like to write a story of your very own that rivals those you have enjoyed reading? I can teach you how to do it!\nFirst\, I’ll cover some of the basic differences between classic fairy tales versus contemporary or re-imagined tales. Then\, I’ll share some templates with you that I have created that will help you decide which type of story you’d like to tell. I’ll help you construct a rough outline/sketch of your story elements\, such as the major plot points\, the characters and their qualities\, the theme\, symbols\, and the like\, to assist you as you begin to write. After the class ends\, if you’d like to write your story in full\, I encourage you to reach out to me via email to share the tale\, and I’ll give you some supportive feedback (this is generously included in the class price).\nWhether you want to write the tale for yourself\, or to give it to another as a gift\, learning to write an original fairy tale is not as hard as it might seem if you have a fairy godmother offering assistance! \nSusan Redington Bobby is a practicing witch and the founder of Professor of Words\, LLC\, where she is an online teacher\, an editor\, a writing mentor\, and a tutor. Her specialty is being able to read people on a deeper level through their writing. She is a retired professor of English with expertise in fairy tales\, adolescent literature\, goddess archetypes\, magical realism\, creative writing\, and film studies. She is the author of Beyond His Dark Materials\, the editor of Fairy Tales Reimagined\, and co-editor of The Artemis Archetype in Popular Culture. The Series Editor of Tales from Fiddler’s Green\, she also publishes creative fiction under the pen name Miranda Rey. She is currently studying the Bardic Course in Druidry from OBOD (the Order of Bards\, Ovates\, and Druids). She maintains Mellie’s Grove\, a certified backyard wildlife habitat that is home to a rescued and stabilized cat colony and all manner of wildlife.
