DESCRIPTION:ZOOM CLASSES OPERATE THE SAME AS IN PERSON CLASSES. WE DO NOT RECORD CLASSES TO PROTECT THE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OF OUR TEACHERS. \nPLEASE NOTE: This class is not an in-person class. This class is being offered as a LIVE ONLINE-ONLY OFFERING. The zoom link will be attached to your ticket. Please check your junk folder in your email if you do not receive a ticket. (Class times are in MDT time zone) \nClass fees are non transferable\, please note that we stick to the student agreements clicked on during registration. Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \nRegistration will close one hour prior to class starting. \n  \nJoin me for a magical journey into the world of poetry and fairy stories about witches and wise women. In this enchanting class\, we will explore some evocative spell-poems by Anne Sexton and a captivating story by a powerful sorceress by Tanith Lee. Together\, we will break down the meaning and techniques of these works\, and you’ll learn how to craft your own poem or story inspired by these spellbinding stories. This workshop is designed to boost your confidence in describing the elements that define you as witch/enchanter/spellcaster/mystic/practitioners of magic\, however you define yourself\, and is inclusive to all genders. You will leave class with a first draft of a poem and/or a plot for a short tale that you can then continue to write on your own. The class comes with a bonus\, which is a one-hour zoom call with me (or you can choose e-mail) to send me your work when it is finished so I can read it and tell you how fabulous your skills are and identify your biggest strengths as a writer. Whether you are a seasoned writer or a complete beginner\, this fun seasonal class will provide you with valuable skills and a unique perspective on your strengths as a magical being through telling your own spellbinding story. \nStudents who register should reach out to me at susanredingtonbobby@professorofwords.com and let me know so I can send you links to the reading material if you’d like to read ahead of class! \n  \nSusan Redington Bobby is a practicing witch and the founder of Professor of Words\, LLC\, where she is an online teacher\, an editor\, a writing mentor\, and a tutor. Her specialty is being able to read people on a deeper level through their writing. She is a retired professor of English with expertise in fairy tales\, adolescent literature\, goddess archetypes\, magical realism\, creative writing\, and film studies. She is the author of Beyond His Dark Materials\, the editor of Fairy Tales Reimagined\, and co-editor of The Artemis Archetype in Popular Culture. The Series Editor of Tales from Fiddler’s Green\, she also publishes creative fiction under the pen name Miranda Rey. She is currently studying the Bardic Course in Druidry from OBOD (the Order of Bards\, Ovates\, and Druids). She maintains Mellie’s Grove\, a certified backyard wildlife habitat that is home to a rescued and stabilized cat colony and all manner of wildlife.
