This for is for IN PERSON registration only. \nTICKETS ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE. \nClass fees are non transferable\, please note that we stick to the student agreements clicked on during registration. Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \n  \n  \nWhether you are reading for yourself or a friend\, the art of tarot reading can be fun\, powerful\, and insightful. This one day\, “drink from the firehose” workshop will explore all 78 cards of the tarot. We will go over the cards’ upright and reversed meanings and practice throwing spreads. All students will walk out with the 2nd revised edition of Sterling Moon’s Tarot 101 zine and the ability to start reading tarot regularly right off the bat! \nPlease bring a notebook\, writing utensil\, and a tarot deck based on the Smith-Waite-Rider. Have water and snacks if you need them\, as our breaks will be short. \nAnticipated schedule \n12-2 – Divination basics & Major Arcana of the Tarot \n2-2:15 – Break \n2:15 – 4:15 – Minor Arcana of the Tarot \n4:15-4:30 – Break \n4:30 – 5:30 – The Tarot Court & Mechanics of Readings \n5:30 – 6 – Practice! \nPlease note: These teachings are based on the Smith-Waite-Rider deck\, and that is what we will cover in class. There are many decks that are fun variations on the Smith-Waite-Rider\, so don’t feel obligated to get the classic version if you find a different one that really speaks to you. There are decks available to buy at Ritualcravt if you need one. \n  \nSterling is passionate about helping others find inspiration and guidance through tarot\, communication with spirits\, and old-timey folk magic.\nSterling has been reading tarot since 1995 and began offering readings and teaching professionally in 2013. She doesn’t shy away from the trope of fortune teller. Sterling specializes in future-based readings. She’s had the ability to connect with spirits of the dead and the natural world since childhood and has been practicing folk magic since 2014. She is particularly influenced by her practice of and studies in the Scandinavian tradition of Trolldom. Sterling’s spirit communication style is a unique blend of classic mediumship techniques\, folk magic\, and paranormal investigation strategies.\nSterling also had a 20-year career as a professional advocate for survivors of crime prior to and holds a Master’s Degree in Advocacy and Political Leadership.
