NFTC begins June 2 and runs through June 8 with 1-2 classes per day\, pass students have access to all 12 classes in the conference. See our school calendar for all NFTC classes which may be purchased separately or you may purchase a Conference Pass for all classes at a discounted price.  \nTrolldom Herb\, Tree\, & Root Magic: All Good Things Are Three: \n\n\nUsing the flora in ritual practices has a long history in Scandinavia but modern herbal practices has not caught up to the richness in resources used by ancient practitioners. People tend to stick to herbs and spices for their practice. \nThis class will introduce the three most popular herbs used by Swedish ancestors of the Tradition but will also introduce the three most popular in each of the following categories: trees\, roots\, resins\, seeds\, fungi\, berries/fruits\, grasses and lichens/mosses. These together form the heart of the traditional uses of plant material in Scandinavia and will provide the workshop participants with ideas and inspiration to further explore their own fauna. \n\nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \n\n\nJohannes B. Gårdbäck is the author of “Trolldom – Spells and Methods of the Norse Folkmagic Tradition”\, (Y.I.P.P.I.E\, 2014). He is an internationally recognized teacher with more than 30 years of experience as a professional folk healer and a folk magic practitioner. DESCRIPTION:This class is IN PERSON. TICKETS ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE. \nClass fees are non transferable\, we stick to the student agreements agreed upon during registration. Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \n  \nJoin us for our monthly tarot meet-up! This meet-up is designed to be a facilitated space for those interested in tarot\, not a “class.” There will be two facilitators\, current readers here at Ritualcravt – Andrea Carla and Reese Quinn.  \nTarot meet-ups will start with a monthly topic discussion decided by your facilitators or the prior month’s group! Your facilitators will be there to offer topics for discussion\, hold space for questions\, encourage “practice” readings\, and provide time for intentional community building as it fits the group.  \nPlease come with your tarot deck and your curiosity! Tarot decks will also be available to borrow if you do not have your own just yet! \n  \nYOUR INSTRUCTORS: \nAndrea’s fascination with reading cards began from a young age after being introduced to the Smith-Waite Tarot. From then on\, she began to explore different methods of divination and fell in love with Lenormand\, a system of cartomancy originating in late 18th century Europe. Andrea’s style of reading cards could be described as pragmatic and deeply rooted in tradition\, influenced by a true reverence for the sibyls of the past. As a teacher\, Andrea has both an academic and scholarly approach to the way that she presents her classes as well as sharing from her experiences and gnosis as a professional reader. She considers the Tarot to be a book of esoteric mysteries and has spent years of her life in studying and peeling back its many layers to share the knowledge and wisdom embedded in every card. \nReese Quinn (she/they) is a tarot and astrology reader and what they lovingly call a practical witch. They have a strong awareness of the crossroads between astrology\, cartomancy\, and elemental practices. You’ll note that Reese embraces their queer\, intersectional identities when both teaching and reading. Reese has been a reader at Ritualcravt for over two years and has studied with well-known witches like Lindsay Mack and Pam Grossman and well-respected teachers locally in Denver. In 2021-2022\, they completed an apprenticeship with best-selling author and reader of 20+ years\, Stefanie Caponi. See our school calendar for all NFTC classes which may be purchased separately or you may purchase a Conference Pass for all classes at a discounted price.  \nThe Troll Cunning Forge: Magic of the Blacksmith: \n\n\nMarcus will be discussing the forging of the Ångerstål knives in trolldom. Esoteric blacksmithing folklore and practice\, and how traditions of esoteric blacksmithing incorporated many aspects of other traditions. \n\nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \n\n\n\nMarcus R. McCoy holds a degree in Transpersonal Anthropology with a focus on the ethnobotany of magical plants. He is the progenitor of Bioregional Animism. Marcus has also been published in Verdant Gnosis Volume 1\, and is one of three editors of the book series\, and is the co-founder and organizer of the viridis genii symposium. He is alchemical practitioner\, studying with Robert Bartlett and integrates his knowledge of lab alchemy into his work in esoteric metallurgy\, He is also an established blacksmith and metal artist with special interest focusing on the occult art of herbal quenches working within the context of alchemical philosophy and folk magic. His smithy is called Troll Cunning Forge\, and he produces custom made occult iron work for the occult community. Marcus is also a teacher of folk magic and has ongoing classes on the Botany of the Dead as well as the folklore of the magical projectile.
