SUMMARY:{IN PERSON} Art-Making as Spiritual Practice
DESCRIPTION:PLEASE READ: This class is IN PERSON. TICKETS ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE. \nClass fees are non transferable\, we stick to the student agreements agreed upon during registration. Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \nLet’s talk about art-making and its role as a wise transpersonal well to drink from\, even for the non-artist. You will be guided to engage in deep contemplative waking dream-space to connect with your own soulful inner images and then you’ll be supported to use art materials to respond to the experience. Practices will be introduced that aim to aid you in welcoming art-making into your current spiritual practice\, including through the portal of your night-time dreams. Bring a special sketchbook with you or you may purchase one from a variety available in the class directly from the instructor. You’ll leave with your creative fire lit; feeling inspired to feed your relationships with your own unique soulful images that are here to help reflect\, inspire and guide you! \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \nEmily Duhaime has been a dreamer\, an artist and a magic-maker since early childhood and so it makes sense that these are inextricably interwoven in all aspects of her world. Emily is a soulful & creative life coach\, art therapist\, mentor\, guide\, artist and dreamer. Trained as a transpersonal psychotherapist and art therapist\, she provides soul-centered life coaching through art therapy\, dreamwork\, plant spirit guidance and self-designed ceremony support to those individuals who are called to step deeply in\, bridging their everyday and spiritual selves. \nShe graduated with a BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago\, IL and went on to earn an MA from Naropa University\, CO\, practicing as a licensed transpersonal art psychotherapist for over 20 years. She lives in Denver and is happy and grateful to be making and selling intentional art\, custom portraits and talismans\, all in her unique and dreamy style of Magical Realism\, where the worlds of spirit and flesh\, magic and ‘reality’ come together. \nHaving always known herself as a Witch\, she is one who holds deep intentions of health\, healing\, love and increased spiritual consciousness for all. She dedicates her life to becoming visible in her magic and to supporting others to also live unapologetically into their own unique experience of their divinity.
