Named after the renowned 18th-century French fortune-teller\, Madame Marie Anne Lenormand\, these cards provide a distinct approach to gaining clarity and guidance. Throughout this class\, we will explore the history\, symbolism\, as well as methods to help you begin reading Lenormand Cards right away! \nYOU WILL LEARN: \n•A Concise History of Lenormand Cards \n•Understanding the symbolism of the cards and how they differ from other methods of card reading. \n•Basic layout and spreads including an introduction to the Grand Tableau. \n•How to build a daily practice with Lenormand cards to help launch your journey with this underrated and amazing system of card divination. \n  \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \nAndrea’s fascination with reading cards began from a young age after being introduced to the Smith-Waite Tarot. From then on\, she began to explore different methods of divination and fell in love with Lenormand\, a system of cartomancy originating in late 18th century Europe. Andrea’s style of reading cards could be described as pragmatic and deeply rooted in tradition\, influenced by a true reverence for the sibyls of the past. \n As a teacher\, Andrea has both an academic and scholarly approach to the way that she presents her classes as well as sharing from her experiences and gnosis as a professional reader. She considers the Tarot to be a book of esoteric mysteries and has spent years of her life in studying and peeling back its many layers to share the knowledge and wisdom embedded in every card.

Registration closes one hour prior to class beginning.\n\n\n\n   With the prevalence of the Smith-Waite tarot deck\, many of us have only met Tarot’s astrology associations through the lens of its Golden Dawn origins\, even if we aren’t using that deck. \nSurprise! In fact\, through the centuries\, tarot-astro connections have wandered throughout the sky\, pairing the planets and constellations in completely different ways. We’ll look at several key decks-of-old – Etteilla\, Wirth\, Falconnier\, and Picard – for unique astro-associations\, perspectives\, insights and knowledge in each. An awareness of these roots helps deepen our capacity to bring sky-knowledge down to earth\, enriching our own wise tarot-usage. \n\nEspecially if you’ve puzzled over the Smith-Waite/Golden Dawn’s astrology\, or found you just don’t resonate with it\, please join me.
