Jim Jarmusch)\, focusing in particular on the different portrayals of vampire love. With captivating themes such as forbidden love and cursed immortality\, as well as fairy-tale motifs and archetypes\, we will look at how each film references and reimagines literary inspirations\, costume design\, setting and atmosphere\, and what it is about these iconic relationships that holds us in thrall year after year\, sending us back for repeat viewings of our comfort films in which “Love never dies.” NOTE: Class will be offered two times—choose the one that fits your schedule! \n  \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR \nSusan Redington Bobby\, the founder of Professor of Words\, LLC\, is an online teacher\, a freelance editor\, a writing mentor\, and a tutor. Her specialty is being able to read people on a deeper level through their writing\, and she has recently completed a certificate course on integrative somatic trauma therapy.  She is a retired professor of English with expertise in fairy tales\, adolescent literature\, goddess archetypes\, magical realism\, creative writing\, and film studies. She is the author of Beyond His Dark Materials\, the editor of Fairy Tales Reimagined\, and co-editor of The Artemis Archetype in Popular Culture. The Series Editor of Tales from Fiddler’s Green\, she also occasionally publishes creative fiction. She is currently studying the Bardic Course in Druidry from OBOD. She maintains Mellie’s Grove\, a certified NWF backyard wildlife habitat that is home to a rescued and small stabilized cat family and all manner of wildlife.

SUMMARY:{Virtual} Venus Retrograde in Scorpio: Wounds\, Retribution\, & Shadows
DESCRIPTION:PLEASE READ: This class is IN PERSON. TICKETS ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE. Class fees are non transferable\, we stick to the student agreements agreed upon during registration. Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \nWe are entering the last Venus retrograde in Scorpio of our lifetimes. This is a powerful and often excruciating container for growth within our own personal circumstances\, but also on the massive stage of collective justice. We will explore Venus in her archetypal forms of the banished\, the violated\, and the vengeful\, using the significations of Venus’s time in Scorpio during this particular iteration. There will be a short lecture where we observe key dates of the Venus retrograde transit\, as well as its typical indications using historical examples. This workshop will primarily include interactive chart explorations\, in which participants can use their own natal chart to understand the impact of Venus’s transit through their personal underworlds. A ritually-created Venus retrograde tea blend will be made available for all participants. Bring a journal\, blankets\, and a mug for tea. \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \nIsabel Gareau (they/them) is a Tarot reader\, astrologer\, and Clinical Herbalist currently residing on traditional and unceded territories of Ute\, Cheyenne\, and Arapahoe Peoples in so-called Denver\, Colorado. They have been studying the esoteric arts for the past 12 years\, offering readings\, herbal care\, and classes to members of the community for the past seven. Isabel has been one of Ritualcravt’s resident practitioners since 2024\, and is a recent graduate from the Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism. Isabel also possesses a Bachelor’s of Science in Phytochemistry from Cornell University\, and has studied astrology with mentors such as Austin Coppock\, Demetra George\, and Pallas K. Augustine. Isabel’s primary focus is in astrologically-timed herbal medicine techniques\, decan-focused practice of astrology and Tarot\, and a holistic\, nervous system-centered approach to wellness.
