This class moves beyond generic products like Q Oil and Lavender Love Drops\, formulas that claim to address all queer desire\, to address the many forms of queer and trans love and lust from an inside perspective\, making it useful for both allies and members of the queer community. The attraction that a lesbian woman feels is very different from that of a gay man. Desire breaks down further into subtypes and preferences. \nAs an offering for magical workers both inside and outside of the queer community\, this class is expressly created to celebrate and share the knowledge of effective magic for queer love\, sex\, and romance. When queer\, trans\, lesbian\, and gay people cannot turn to the priests of the world for help\, the sorcerers must step in. \nThe magical tradition known as Rootwork has many answers to supply to today’s queer community if we merely scratch its surface and look beyond the bias of many historians. Rootwork presents us with materia and workings that can be tailored to suit any preference for love and sex. \nThere are specific workings to draw butches\, men with money\, true love\, heartfelt marriage proposals\, kink relationships\, and even clandestine affairs. It’s a wonderful way to make magic a way of life. \nIn this in-person workshop\, Sterling Moon will introduce participants to the magic of floorwashes. Floorwashes are essentially spells for changing the energy of a space\, dispelling what’s unwanted\, or calling in what’s desirable. The spell is “activated” through the mundane activity of mopping and wiping down commonly used spaces. They are a staple in many folk magic traditions. \nSterling will guide participants through making their own blends\, beyond throwing a bunch of herbs and curios together. Sterling will walk participants through divining what needs attention in their home or lives and the process of waking up and listening to the spirits of magical materia like herbs and curios\, ensuring that it all works in harmony. Everyone will leave with floorwashes that are uniquely their own magic. \nSterling is passionate about helping others find inspiration and guidance through tarot\, communication with spirits\, and old-timey folk magic.\nSterling has been reading tarot since 1995 and began offering readings and teaching professionally in 2013. It overlaps many other disciplines\, all expressed here though art. Specifically\, this is art that delivers practical information wrapping in a sensory visual experience. As we craft an ever-stronger working alliance with the cards\, magic happens.\nWe’ll begin with thorough orientations:\n—the Minor Arcana via the elements (Week 1)\n—the Court Cards for identity and connection (Week 2)\n—the Major Arcana with myths and archetypes (Week 3)\nand then take this material into\n—alliance-deepening personal work (Week 4)\n—reading the Tarot for yourself and for others\, and for maximum personal creativity and well-being (Week 5). \nThis series is for beginners and beyond. Join two invertebrate enthusiasts for a hands-on introduction to Lepidotera. This class will teach you about the ecological\, environmental\, and spiritual importance of moths and butterflies (order Lepidoptera). You will learn about the ways in which butterflies and moths influence our lives today as well as a bit of their history in mythology and science. These incredible creatures can deliver important messages to us if we are open to listening\, and this class will give you a greater understanding of these animals. \nIn addition to the lecture portion of this class\, each student will be provided with the supplies and guidance needed to pin 1 beautiful sunset moth. You will bring home a foam pinning board\, your pinned insect\, and ideas on how to display these beauties in your home. Feel free to bring along a pen and paper for notes. \nSupplies included in this series: \n-Foam Pinning Board \n-Insect Pins and Lepidoptera Strips \n-1 Beautiful Sunset Moth (responsibly sourced) \n  \nJess is a Denver-based artist who creates small sculptures and jewelry using elements of nature.\nJess creates imaginative miniature worlds honoring elements of nature and science. Inspired by the natural curiosity assemblages of the Victorian Naturalists and the Wildlife Halls of modern science museums\, Jess hopes to inspire wonder\, curiosity\, and understanding for our natural world. Each piece she creates is a reminder of the beauty that lies in death and its importance in the cycle of life.\nJess teaches classes that stitch together magic\, art\, and science with an aim to inspire her students to to approach the world\, and their practice\, with endless curiosity. \nAlessandra\, owner of Oracle Natural Science is an Entomologist Enthusiast\, and Bone Memorialist\, winning 2019 Worlds Taxidermy Championships for skeletal articulations. She teaches our Entomology Classes along with being the host of Oracle’s Bug Club and more. Alessandra grew her fascination of insects and natural sciences as a child\, walking down to the Insectarium and Olympic gardens of Montreal\, Canada which their inspirations can be seen in all aspects of her work. While she spends her days at Oracle\, the rest of her time is split between working as an Artist Assistant at Staab Studios\, Pet Memorialist\, and as hobbyist arachnologists.

Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \n  \nIn my lineage of Trolldom\, the folk magic of Scandinavia\, one of the ways in which we cast spells is by making a trollpåse or magical pouch. Join me live at Ritualcravt for an afternoon of casting spells for the Spring season! Please come with some ideas of what you would like to grow or cultivate more of in your life during the spring season. We will have a short lecture on traditional trollpåse\, discuss materia for magical bags\, and how to cast spells with them. All students will make atleast one bag to bring home. All materials will be provided. \nMissy Johanna Rhysing is an American woman practicing Nordic folk traditions in Denver\, CO and Mpls\, MN. Her people hail from Scandinavia\, Bohemia/Czech Republic\, France and England. She places great importance on working with our ancestral root cultures as a means of reclaiming and reweaving folk magic and medicine to improve our lives and our relationships with the lands we live on today.\nMissy’s trainings include Trolldom\, Nordic spirituality and animism\, Swedish massage\, past life regression\, meditation\, shiatsu\, tattooing\, folk herbal and nutritional support\, and more.
