I will share a keynote presentation on folk sauna culture- history\, rituals\, practices\, healing techniques\, folklore and more. I will discuss ways in which we can utilize this tradition in our modern lives\, as well as sharing my personal sauna rituals as a trolldom practitioner in the hopes of inspiring others to remember and reweave these beautiful practices in beneficial ways on the lands we live on today. \n\nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \n\n\nMissy Johanna Rhysing is a Swedish-American woman who grew up in the Swedish diaspora in Minnesota\, and is the owner and founder of Ritualcravt in Colorado. Her people hail from Scandinavia\, Bohemia/Czech Republic\, France and England. She places great importance on working with our ancestral root cultures as a means of reweaving folk magic and traditions to improve our lives and our relationships with the lands we live on today.\nMissy’s trainings include Trolldom\, Nordic spirituality and animism\, Swedish massage\, past life regression\, meditation\, shiatsu\, tattooing\, folk herbal and nutritional support\, and more. From the celestial elves\, known for their light\, enchantment\, and occasional blood sucking – to the surly & often deadly trolls that haunt majestic mountains. What sets these supernatural beings apart from each other – and from the average human ghost? How does the etiquette expected of humans’ interaction with them vary? Are the smith-master dwarves truly antisocial\, compared to the domestic tomte who frequents the homestead? What stellar bodies are sacred to trolls\, or are the stars solely the domain of elves? This presentation will explore the answers to these questions\, as well as how these extraordinary beings are approached(& avoided) in Scandinavia – including via the lens of the Norse folk magic & sorcery of Trolldom.\n\nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \n\n\nRose is a sorceress\, seer\, and trollkvinna. Born into a lineage of Celtic fairy seership & witchcraft\, Rose has been interacting with spirits and practicing magic since a very young age. She has also apprenticed under Johannes Gårdbäck to learn the art of Trolldom\, a traditional system of Scandinavian folk magic & sorcery – of which she has been approved to do professional spiritual work for others as well as teach. She has also received training in other spiritual traditions\, including hoodoo/conjure\, as well as initiation into other lineages of traditional witchcraft. \nAs a professional sorceress\, Rose specializes in helping others with fairy\, elf\, and troll-related troubles. People tend to stick to herbs and spices for their practice. \nThis class will introduce the three most popular herbs used by Swedish ancestors of the Tradition but will also introduce the three most popular in each of the following categories: trees\, roots\, resins\, seeds\, fungi\, berries/fruits\, grasses and lichens/mosses. These together form the heart of the traditional uses of plant material in Scandinavia and will provide the workshop participants with ideas and inspiration to further explore their own fauna. \n\nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \n\n\nJohannes B. Gårdbäck is the author of “Trolldom – Spells and Methods of the Norse Folkmagic Tradition”\, (Y.I.P.P.I.E\, 2014). He is an internationally recognized teacher with more than 30 years of experience as a professional folk healer and a folk magic practitioner. This meet-up is designed to be a facilitated space for those interested in tarot\, not a “class.” There will be two facilitators\, current readers here at Ritualcravt – Andrea Carla and Reese Quinn.  \nTarot meet-ups will start with a monthly topic discussion decided by your facilitators or the prior month’s group! Your facilitators will be there to offer topics for discussion\, hold space for questions\, encourage “practice” readings\, and provide time for intentional community building as it fits the group.  \nPlease come with your tarot deck and your curiosity! Tarot decks will also be available to borrow if you do not have your own just yet! \n  \nYOUR INSTRUCTORS: \nAndrea’s fascination with reading cards began from a young age after being introduced to the Smith-Waite Tarot. From then on\, she began to explore different methods of divination and fell in love with Lenormand\, a system of cartomancy originating in late 18th century Europe. Andrea’s style of reading cards could be described as pragmatic and deeply rooted in tradition\, influenced by a true reverence for the sibyls of the past. As a teacher\, Andrea has both an academic and scholarly approach to the way that she presents her classes as well as sharing from her experiences and gnosis as a professional reader. She considers the Tarot to be a book of esoteric mysteries and has spent years of her life in studying and peeling back its many layers to share the knowledge and wisdom embedded in every card. \nReese Quinn (she/they) is a tarot and astrology reader and what they lovingly call a practical witch. They have a strong awareness of the crossroads between astrology\, cartomancy\, and elemental practices. You’ll note that Reese embraces their queer\, intersectional identities when both teaching and reading. Reese has been a reader at Ritualcravt for over two years and has studied with well-known witches like Lindsay Mack and Pam Grossman and well-respected teachers locally in Denver. In 2021-2022\, they completed an apprenticeship with best-selling author and reader of 20+ years\, Stefanie Caponi. Esoteric blacksmithing folklore and practice\, and how traditions of esoteric blacksmithing incorporated many aspects of other traditions. \n\nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \n\n\n\nMarcus R. McCoy holds a degree in Transpersonal Anthropology with a focus on the ethnobotany of magical plants. He is the progenitor of Bioregional Animism. Marcus has also been published in Verdant Gnosis Volume 1\, and is one of three editors of the book series\, and is the co-founder and organizer of the viridis genii symposium. He is alchemical practitioner\, studying with Robert Bartlett and integrates his knowledge of lab alchemy into his work in esoteric metallurgy\, He is also an established blacksmith and metal artist with special interest focusing on the occult art of herbal quenches working within the context of alchemical philosophy and folk magic. His smithy is called Troll Cunning Forge\, and he produces custom made occult iron work for the occult community. Marcus is also a teacher of folk magic and has ongoing classes on the Botany of the Dead as well as the folklore of the magical projectile. Ancestral practices form the foundation of Trolldom Spirit Work to reconnect to Spirit and our sense of a natural home during our lifetime. \nThe dead are also regarded to have a great influence\, both good and bad\, on our bodies and minds. This is a system that I created last year that provides a new way to create spreads to read\, so you can use your own cards\, and any deck should work. In other words\, the cards themselves do not have to be fairy-tale themed\, as just the questions/subtopics are! I have chosen the structural system from the work of a famous narratologist to provide the basis for the options for the card spreads\, and I’ll teach you his system first and apply it to how it enhances the reading of a familiar fairy tales. From that\, I’ll show you how to take the elements of his system and instead of applying them to fairy tales\, to apply them to tarot readings that you create. You’ll be able to customize your spread to your question and needs by using the language and organization of the system\, creating a wealth of possibilities and ways to focus your reading. The system will provide hundreds of thousands of possible spreads\, all based on your imagination\, and will reinforce how much life itself\, and the events therein\, are a story waiting to be told. Please have your tarot cards at hand for class because we will be doing some practice spreads. \n  \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR \nSusan Redington Bobby\, the founder of Professor of Words\, LLC\, is an online teacher\, a freelance editor\, a writing mentor\, and a tutor. Registration closes one hour prior to class starting. \nThis online class will begin with a look at Saint Expedite from a historical basis\, i.e.\, what we know vs. what we don’t really know and where there is variation from tradition to tradition. There will be brief coverage of the various related traditions worldwide and how Expedite is called and utilized before we move on to the traditions most familiar within the United States as they relate to New Orleans Voudo\, conjure\, the deep south\, and to a much lesser extent Appalachia. Attention will be paid\, of course\, to the decidedly Christian origins of Saint Expedite\, though students will be encouraged to see beyond that limitation. Care will be placed to limit the amount of Christianity used\, where appropriate\, in an effort to encourage those who might avoid the power of the Saints due to trauma surrounding organized religion\, abuse\, and the church’s misuse of sacred power. This class will focus on a few basic yet powerful poetic forms with an eye towards making the writing itself accessible and easy for a beginner. We will cover poems as short as 2-line types and a few longer forms as well as both rhyming and non-rhyming styles. You’ll get to see lots of examples and you’ll get the opportunity in the workshop to practice in a safe and supportive environment. You will leave class with some ideas and samples you can use to enhance your spellwork. Class is open to beginners to writing poetry as well as those with a little experience seeking further guidance. \nPlease jot down some ideas for subjects of spellwork of special interest to bring to the workshop with you. Taught by the Series Editor of Tales from Fiddler’s Green. \n  \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR \nSusan Redington Bobby\, the founder of Professor of Words\, LLC\, is an online teacher\, a freelance editor\, a writing mentor\, and a tutor. Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \nThis class is a 5-week series taking place Sundays from 2-4pm on July 27\, Aug 3\, 10\, 17\, and 24th! \nQ: How can I plan for a future that’s unknown?\nA: By knowing – by having more information! \nThe Tarot is a tool to illuminate our personal road maps. It overlaps many other disciplines\, all expressed here though art. Specifically\, this is art that delivers practical information wrapping in a sensory visual experience. As we craft an ever-stronger working alliance with the cards\, magic happens. \nWe’ll begin with thorough orientations:\n— the Minor Arcana via the elements (Week 1);\n— the Court Cards for identity and connection (Week 2);\n— the Major Arcana with myths and archetypes (Week 3);\nand then take this material into\n— alliance-deepening personal work (Week 4);\n— reading the Tarot for yourself and for others\, and for maximum personal creativity and well-being (Week 5).\nThis series is for beginners and beyond. Missy will share a keynote lecture on the Autumntide\, with important timings\, holy days\, lore\, and ancestral practices that we can observe in the diaspora. We will go over folk magic and more with emphasis on the ancestors as we near the end of the autumn and move closer to wintertide. We will discuss modern methods to utilize these practices on the lands we live on today in meaningful and beneficial ways. \n  \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \nMissy Johanna Rhysing is a Swedish-American woman who grew up in the Swedish diaspora in Minnesota\, and is the owner and founder of Ritualcravt in Colorado.
