I’ll share exactly what has worked for me—including how I wrote two books plus several fairy tales using this approach—and guide you through trying these techniques to help you write more freely and without self-judgment. \nUnderstanding that editing is a separate step for later\, we will focus purely on the act of creating ideas and the raw\, potent magic of the first draft. We’ll talk about the use of herbs\, candles\, powders and oils and you will leave with bundle of goods to get you started. \n  \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \nLisa Martinez is a board-certified Doctor of Natural Medicine who walks the traditional healing and spiritual path of Curanderismo. This path can be described as a multifaceted blend of healing practices from the past and present that include indigenous folk medicine modalities from Mesoamerica to Africa and it strongly influenced by Spanish Spiritualism and Judaism. Her family roots are from Northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado where curanderismo was and still is an enriching and common way of life. Lisa’s grandmothers were her biggest influences providing her a lifelong apprenticeship. This particular transit carries an exaggerated weight\, as Saturn is also co-present with Neptune in the sign of the ram. Things may feel both burdensome and thrilling\, like the offering of a great reset but with an unfathomable amount of work attached to it. How do we make the most of that reset\, maintain our momentum\, and rise to this occasion?  \nThis workshop will review Saturn’s current transit in Aries through a relational astrology lens\, identifying the planet’s archetypal powers\, potential challenges\, and key dates for turning points of its present expression. We will examine this through the manifestation of Saturn in Aries within our own charts\, using some guided journaling and reflecting exercises\, as well as somatic movement practices. Registration closes one hour prior to class starting. \n  \nAutumn is an important time of year with natural emphasis on the harvest- ripening\, collecting\, storing away\, and pruning back.\nMissy will share a keynote lecture on the Autumntide\, with important timings\, holy days\, lore\, and ancestral practices that we can observe in the diaspora. We will go over folk magic and more with emphasis on the ancestors as we near the end of the autumn and move closer to wintertide. We will discuss modern methods to utilize these practices on the lands we live on today in meaningful and beneficial ways. \n  \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \n\nMissy Johanna Rhysing is a Swedish-American woman who grew up in the Swedish diaspora in Minnesota\, and is the founder of Ritualcravt in Colorado. Her people hail from Scandinavia\, Bohemia/Czech Republic\, France and England. She places great importance on working with our ancestral root cultures as a means of reweaving folk magic and traditions to improve our lives and our relationships with the lands we live on today.\n\nMissy’s trainings include Trolldom\, Nordic spirituality and animism\, Swedish massage\, past life regression\, meditation\, shiatsu\, tattooing\, folk herbal and nutritional support\, and more. She facilitates community sauna ceremonies and is passionate about sauna culture.
