But  after Ragnarök\, the age of endless war is over. What remains? \nIn this class we explore how the warrior ideal transforms after Ragnarök. The figures who remain embody a different kind of power: discipline\, restraint\, endurance\, and a commitment to rebuilding rather than conquering. We will examine how the surviving gods represent a shift in the meaning of strength and what this transformation reveals about leadership\, responsibility\, and personal authority in a world after collapse. \nWe will also explore the deeper meaning of oath and honor in the Norse tradition. When institutions fail and external authority disappears\, the responsibility for order falls to the individual. Oath becomes a binding force that shapes character\, establishes trust\, and gives structure to the rebuilding of society. \nThe session concludes with a ritual practice centered on the making of a quiet\, personal oath. In silence and reflection\, participants will consider the principles they choose to live by in a changing world and symbolically anchor their commitment to walking the path of those who endure and rebuild. \nWhat if Ragnarök has already happened and we are living in the world that comes after? \nThis monthly working explores the continuation of the gods’ legacy through lore\, ritual\, and personal practice. I will share a keynote presentation on folk sauna culture- history\, rituals\, practices\, healing techniques\, folklore and more. I will discuss ways in which we can utilize this tradition in our modern lives\, as well as sharing my personal sauna rituals as a Swedish American trolldom practitioner in the hopes of inspiring others to remember and reweave these beautiful practices in beneficial ways on the lands we live on today. \n  \n\nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \n\n\nMissy Johanna Rhysing is a Swedish-American woman who grew up in the Swedish diaspora in Minnesota\, and is the founder of Ritualcravt in Colorado. Registration closes one hour prior to class beginning. \n  \nFor those who want to learn a way to “get out of their own head” when writing creatively\, I will teach you how to let your intuition work as your muse to assist you in the writing process. I’ll share exactly what has worked for me—including how I wrote two books plus several fairy tales using this approach—and guide you through trying these techniques to help you write more freely and without self-judgment. \nUnderstanding that editing is a separate step for later\, we will focus purely on the act of creating ideas and the raw\, potent magic of the first draft. We will begin with guided imagery\, using visual keys to unlock the gate to the endless stories floating out there\, waiting for the perfect teller. \nYou will have time during the workshop to practice and are encouraged to share your work for supportive feedback\, either in the session or privately with me after the class concludes. You’ll also receive “The Seeds of Stories”\, a downloadable handout with additional story starters and writing prompts. \n  \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR \nSusan Redington Bobby\, the founder of Professor of Words\, LLC\, is an online teacher\, a freelance editor\, a writing mentor\, and a tutor. Her specialty is being able to read people on a deeper level through their writing\, and she has recently completed a certificate course on integrative somatic trauma therapy.  She is a retired professor of English with expertise in fairy tales\, adolescent literature\, goddess archetypes\, magical realism\, creative writing\, and film studies. She is the author of Beyond His Dark Materials\, the editor of Fairy Tales Reimagined\, and co-editor of The Artemis Archetype in Popular Culture. The Series Editor of Tales from Fiddler’s Green\, she also occasionally publishes creative fiction. She is currently studying the Bardic Course in Druidry from OBOD. She maintains Mellie’s Grove\, a certified NWF backyard wildlife habitat that is home to a rescued and small stabilized cat family and all manner of wildlife.

Often remembered only as the god whose death set the final events in motion\, Baldr also embodies a profound mythic principle: the restoration of clarity\, integrity\, and luminous presence after the darkness of collapse. \nThrough lore\, discussion\, and reflection\, we will consider how the qualities associated with Baldr: truth\, coherence\, and radiant integrity\, can be cultivated in our own lives as we navigate times of uncertainty and transformation. \nThe session concludes with a ritual honoring Baldr and the returning light he represents.
