Registration closes one hour prior to class starting. \n  \nIn this three-part class series\, we will explore some of the fundamental components of medical astrology\, including origin of the technique and practical applications. Note that it is not required to take all three classes in the series\, nor are earlier classes in the series prerequisite for later ones! Students at any skill level of astrology\, herbal medicine\, or with any interest in alternative health should feel comfortable dropping into any of this material. In this iteration\, we will explore planetary transits as a function of health events\, including the identification of advantageous times to schedule certain types of care. Participants will receive approximately 90 minutes of lecture-style presentation and notes\, and 30 minutes of chart examples and discussion. \n  \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \nIsabel Gareau (they/them) is a Tarot reader\, astrologer\, and herbalist currently residing on traditional and unceded territories of Ute\, Cheyenne\, and Arapahoe Peoples in so-called Denver\, Colorado. They have been studying the esoteric arts for the past 11 years\, offering Tarot and astrology readings to members of the community for the past six. Isabel practices from a process-based and Jungian approach\, helping querents to understand and empower their own personal narrative through storytelling and deep inner listening. We are seeking self-care\, community\, and creative expression in a group that will welcome and encourage conversation and connection\, though there is no requirement to speak or to even have your screen on if you’d rather be anonymous and just “be” with us! \nLet’s face it\, our world demands constant productivity often for the sake of others. I often think that we are led to believe “how can we craft at a time like this?” But this is precisely the moment to engage in what makes us feel happy and at peace. We will reclaim the energy and beauty of crafting for the sake of personal fulfillment and relaxation. All skill levels and craft mediums are welcome in these gatherings that will be like book clubs\, but for crafts. We will set a theme for each session so you can consider it or even journal on it before attending\, and in our meetings\, you will have an opportunity to share with others\, if you choose\, while I will facilitate. Note that these are not lectures or classes but more like free-form meetings in a safe space\, with 3 price levels so you can choose what works best for you economically. \nMarch: If you happen to know anything about people taking part in making things as a form of\nresistance\, let’s talk about it! I’m curious to know more about people who have engaged in\ndifferent craft forms as a form of activism in the past\, but also\, if you know of any ways we can be part of resistance in similar ways in the present. \n  \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR \nSusan Redington Bobby\, the founder of Professor of Words\, LLC\, is an online teacher\, a freelance editor\, a writing mentor\, and a tutor. Her specialty is being able to read people on a deeper level through their writing\, and she has recently completed a certificate course on integrative somatic trauma therapy.  She is a retired professor of English with expertise in fairy tales\, adolescent literature\, goddess archetypes\, magical realism\, creative writing\, and film studies. She is the author of Beyond His Dark Materials\, the editor of Fairy Tales Reimagined\, and co-editor of The Artemis Archetype in Popular Culture. This meet-up is designed to be a facilitated space for those interested in tarot\, not a “class.” There will be two facilitators\, current readers here at Ritualcravt – Andrea Carla and Reese Quinn. \nTarot meet-ups will start and end with reflections on the past month’s tarot pulls\, a themed topic discussion\, and then will be driven by you! Your facilitators will be there to offer discussion areas\, hold space for questions\, encourage “practice” readings\, and provide time for intentional community building as it fits the group. \nPlease come with your tarot deck and your curiosity! \n  \nYOUR INSTRUCTORS: \nAndrea’s fascination with reading cards began from a young age after being introduced to the Smith-Waite Tarot. From then on\, she began to explore different methods of divination and fell in love with Lenormand\, a system of cartomancy originating in late 18th century Europe. Andrea’s style of reading cards could be described as pragmatic and deeply rooted in tradition\, influenced by a true reverence for the sibyls of the past. As a teacher\, Andrea has both an academic and scholarly approach to the way that she presents her classes as well as sharing from her experiences and gnosis as a professional reader. She considers the Tarot to be a book of esoteric mysteries and has spent years of her life in studying and peeling back its many layers to share the knowledge and wisdom embedded in every card. \nReese Quinn (she/they) is a tarot and astrology reader and what they lovingly call a practical witch. The spiritual practices of Animism – often called Shamanism – offer an ancient and profound pathway into Spirit\, and this short class is an introduction to the  trance-work of “journeying\,” a vital skill for this path. \nThe ability to intentionally shift into a trance state and commune with our spirit-plane helpers is an asset to many spiritual paths\, and journeying is one very dependable means of doing that – for guidance\, for healing\, and for the outright joy of direct connection with Spirit. \n\nIn this gathering\, we’ll play with the rudiments of drum-driven journeying to begin meeting the personal allies that live in that place of spirit. Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \n  \nUsing the framework of Hanafuda playing cards\, we will look at various botanicals and their spiritual and historical significance in Japanese culture.  The class will include a history of Hanafuda and how it used in different games today.  Each suit in the deck represents a month and is assigned a seasonal botanical.  In this first class we will look at the first quarter of the year: January – pine\, February – plum\, March – cherry.  Participants are encouraged to bring their own Hanafuda decks if they already own one\, but possession of a deck is not required for the class\, as the content will be primarily focused on symbolism.
