Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \nThis class is a 5-week series taking place Sundays from 2-4pm on July 27\, Aug 3\, 10\, 17\, and 24th! \nQ: How can I plan for a future that’s unknown?\nA: By knowing – by having more information! \nThe Tarot is a tool to illuminate our personal road maps. It overlaps many other disciplines\, all expressed here though art. Specifically\, this is art that delivers practical information wrapping in a sensory visual experience. As we craft an ever-stronger working alliance with the cards\, magic happens. \nWe’ll begin with thorough orientations:\n— the Minor Arcana via the elements (Week 1);\n— the Court Cards for identity and connection (Week 2);\n— the Major Arcana with myths and archetypes (Week 3);\nand then take this material into\n— alliance-deepening personal work (Week 4);\n— reading the Tarot for yourself and for others\, and for maximum personal creativity and well-being (Week 5).\nThis series is for beginners and beyond. Please plan on allowing a couple of hours every week for take-home assignments between our class sessions.

Please bring:
— Note-taking materials
— A fully illustrated tarot deck\, i.e. instead of simply seeing five Cups\, you’ll see people/beings interacting with three Cups. I recommend the Smith-Waite tarot deck (aka Pamela Colman Smith\, Rider-Waite-Smith\, RWS). Ritualcravt carries several different versions\, and I’ll have loaner decks on hand the first night\, so you can see several before making your own choice. \nEvery session of the course includes:\n— Extensive handout pages\n— Large\, vivid explorations of the artwork – Tarot is a visual medium!\n— Hands-on practice with readings and exercises \nRenna Shesso is a witch\, tarot reader\, shamanic practitioner\, and author. She’s been reading cards professionally for over 20 years\, and using tarot as a personal tool of exploration for much longer. \n  \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \n\nRenna Shesso is a shamanic healing practitioner and teacher\, professional tarot reader\, priestess of the Craft\, and writer. \n\n\nShe began exploring magical knowledge-paths as a young adult\, learning astrology from her grandmother\, and has expended her interests exponentially in the decades since then. In addition to her own self-published zines on magical workings\, Renna is the author of Planets for Pagans and Math for Mystics (both published by Weiser Books). While privileged to study with many fine teachers\, she turns to Nature Herself as the ultimate teacher and healer.

Missy will share a keynote lecture on the Autumntide\, with important timings\, holy days\, lore\, and ancestral practices that we can observe in the diaspora. We will go over folk magic and more with emphasis on the ancestors as we near the end of the autumn and move closer to wintertide. We will discuss modern methods to utilize these practices on the lands we live on today in meaningful and beneficial ways. \n  \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \nMissy Johanna Rhysing is a Swedish-American woman who grew up in the Swedish diaspora in Minnesota\, and is the owner and founder of Ritualcravt in Colorado. Her people hail from Scandinavia\, Bohemia/Czech Republic\, France and England. She places great importance on working with our ancestral root cultures as a means of reweaving folk magic and traditions to improve our lives and our relationships with the lands we live on today.\n\nMissy’s trainings include Trolldom\, Scandinavian spirituality and animism\, Swedish massage\, past life regression\, meditation\, shiatsu\, tattooing\, folk herbal and nutritional support\, and more. This meet-up is designed to be a facilitated space for those interested in tarot\, not a “class.” There will be two facilitators\, current readers here at Ritualcravt – Andrea Carla and Reese Quinn. \nTarot meet-ups will start and end with reflections on the past month’s tarot pulls\, a themed topic discussion\, and then will be driven by you! Your facilitators will be there to offer discussion areas\, hold space for questions\, encourage “practice” readings\, and provide time for intentional community building as it fits the group. \n  \nPlease come with your tarot deck and your curiosity! \n  \nYOUR INSTRUCTORS: \nAndrea’s fascination with reading cards began from a young age after being introduced to the Smith-Waite Tarot. From then on\, she began to explore different methods of divination and fell in love with Lenormand\, a system of cartomancy originating in late 18th century Europe. Andrea’s style of reading cards could be described as pragmatic and deeply rooted in tradition\, influenced by a true reverence for the sibyls of the past. As a teacher\, Andrea has both an academic and scholarly approach to the way that she presents her classes as well as sharing from her experiences and gnosis as a professional reader. She considers the Tarot to be a book of esoteric mysteries and has spent years of her life in studying and peeling back its many layers to share the knowledge and wisdom embedded in every card. \nReese Quinn (she/they) is a tarot and astrology reader and what they lovingly call a practical witch. They have a strong awareness of the crossroads between astrology\, cartomancy\, and elemental practices. You’ll note that Reese embraces their queer\, intersectional identities when both teaching and reading. Reese has been a reader at Ritualcravt for over two years and has studied with well-known witches like Lindsay Mack and Pam Grossman and well-respected teachers locally in Denver. In 2021-2022\, they completed an apprenticeship with best-selling author and reader of 20+ years\, Stefanie Caponi.
