Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \nStrings & Spirits: Banjo Lore and the Magick of Appalachian Song\nA Ritual Workshop in Folk Magick\, Resistance\, and the Old Songs of the South \nStep into the hidden world where song becomes spell\, rhythm becomes ritual\, and the banjo speaks with the voices of the dead. This immersive 2-hour workshop explores the deep-rooted intersection of Appalachian folk magick and Southern musical traditions—especially the banjo\, born of African spiritwork and shaped by Scots-Irish ballads\, hollers\, and lament. We’ll trace how these traditions fused in the mountains into a living\, breathing conjure language—used to protect\, curse\, heal\, and survive. \nThis is not a music lesson. It’s an invitation to listen with your bones and work with your breath. You’ll learn how to use traditional songs as working charms\, explore trance and rhythm as magical practice\, and hear the ghost-songs that carried justice and resistance when no other tools were allowed. Through shared singing\, guided ritual\, and historical storytelling\, we’ll make music the old way: as a bridge to spirit\, a tool of survival\, and a vessel of power. Technology dulls the senses. \nEvery day we are conditioned to be passive; to purchase and consume\, with the pressures of our imbalanced culture gradually wearing us down to a nub until we feel unable to form meaningful spiritual connection. The heroism of a bygone age seems lost to us. Our edge seems dull.\nRediscover your edge through the Valkyric Current!\nIn the Northern tradition\, the Valkyr are the shieldmaidens of Odin\, the Allfather. They would scour the battlefield\, discovering the best and bravest souls of the slain to join Odin’s ranks and defend creation against the jotun at Ragnarok – the Final Battle at the end of time. \nThe Valkyr\, however\, are no mere servants; they are goddesses in their own right. Northern and Germanic folk traditions have long accessed the Valkyric current to help with love magic\, wealth charms\, divination\, and even cursing. In this workshop\, you will learn to wield this type of magic for yourself with the boldness of a Valkyrie using her spear through the use of the sacred art of seidr\, a trance-based style of ancient sorcery. Registration closes one hour prior to class starting. \nThis group past life regression is for anyone who is attracted to Nordic traditions\, mythologies\, or cultures- or feels they may have lived a past life in an ancient Northern part of the world! In this guided meditation\, we will journey backwards in time and through the world tree of the Nordic people to recover gifts\, understand attachments\, reclaim strengths\, and release contracts that are not serving us in our lives today. We will go through the meditation together and end with a bit of light processing and discussion. No experience necessary\, dress comfortably and have a quiet space to enjoy this work at home.
