Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \nWe each have a personal direct-line to spirit\, but may need some help to reawaken it. The spiritual practices of Animism – often called Shamanism – offer an ancient and profound pathway into Spirit\, and this short class is an introduction to the  trance-work of “journeying\,” a vital skill for this path. \nThe ability to intentionally shift into a trance state and commune with our spirit-plane helpers is an asset to many spiritual paths\, and journeying is one very dependable means of doing that – for guidance\, for healing\, and for the outright joy of direct connection with Spirit. \n\n    In this gathering\, we’ll play with the rudiments of drum-driven journeying to begin meeting the personal allies that live in that place of spirit. Welcome to this empowering path! \nPlease bring/wear: \n— Note-taking materials\n— Comfortable clothes you can move and lay down in\n— A bandana/scarf eye-covering (for maximum darkness)\n— Optional: your own small blanket or yoga pad\n\nRenna Shesso’s shamanic calling took root in the late 1980s\, built on intensive studies with Sandra Ingerman and other formal teachers\, work that continues to this day. Our relatives in the natural world – plants and sky\, animals and elements – remain her most essential teachers. SUMMARY:{VIRTUAL} Trollpåsar for Autumn: Spell Pouches in Scandinavian Folk Tradition

Registration closes one hour prior to class beginning. \n  \nIn my lineage of Scandinavian folk magic tradition\, one of the ways in which we cast spells are with trollpåsar\, or magical bags. We will have a keynote lecture on magical bags in trolldom history\, materials\, and discussion on how to cast spells with them. We will also craft a couple bags during class! Please come to class with an idea of what you would like to ripen and harvest more of in your life for this Autumn season. You will need to get the following supplies before class (just bring what you can!): \n\n6-8″ square cotton fabric in black \n6-8″ square cotton fabric in white \nEmbroidery thread or yarn in black\, white and red \nSmall amounts of stones\, herbs\, roots\, natural items\, and other magical materia chosen by you that speaks to you of harvest\, ripening\, and gratitude \nPaper and pen\, a few colored markers \n\nStudents will leave class with a practical way of working with spell bags year round.\n\n\n\n\nYOUR INSTRUCTOR:\n\nMissy Johanna Rhysing is a Swedish-American woman who grew up in the Swedish diaspora in Minnesota\, and is the owner and founder of Ritualcravt in Colorado. Her people hail from Scandinavia\, Bohemia/Czech Republic\, France and England. She places great importance on working with our ancestral root cultures as a means of reweaving folk magic and traditions to improve our lives and our relationships with the lands we live on today. \nMissy’s trainings include Trolldom\, Nordic spirituality and animism\, Swedish massage\, past life regression\, meditation\, shiatsu\, tattooing\, folk herbal and nutritional support\, and more. She facilitates community sauna ceremonies and is passionate about sauna culture. Missy has been offered the name Mästerinna as a lineage teacher in Trolldom\, and holds that close to her heart with great honor. Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \nLet’s talk about art-making and its role as a wise transpersonal well to drink from\, even for the non-artist. You will be guided to engage in deep contemplative waking dream-space to connect with your own soulful inner images and then you’ll be supported to use art materials to respond to the experience. Practices will be introduced that aim to aid you in welcoming art-making into your current spiritual practice\, including through the portal of your night-time dreams. Bring a special sketchbook with you or you may purchase one from a variety available in the class directly from the instructor. You’ll leave with your creative fire lit; feeling inspired to feed your relationships with your own unique soulful images that are here to help reflect\, inspire and guide you! \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \nEmily Duhaime has been a dreamer\, an artist and a magic-maker since early childhood and so it makes sense that these are inextricably interwoven in all aspects of her world. Emily is a soulful & creative life coach\, art therapist\, mentor\, guide\, artist and dreamer.
