SUMMARY:{IN PERSON} The Witch's Circle & Crossroads
DESCRIPTION:This class is IN PERSON. TICKETS ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE. Class fees are non transferable\, we stick to the student agreements agreed upon during registration. Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \n  \nIn the words of Victor Anderson\, a witch’s circle is “a magnifying glass to the Gods.” Casting circles is an important first step to most rituals – it can serve as protection\, cleansing\, and focus. It can create the “cauldron” of our ritual\, into which we can add the ingredients of the magic we want to brew.  \n  \nThough perhaps lesser known\, crossroads are another traditional witch’s tool that we open in order to see between worlds and converse with spirits. In this workshop\, we will dive deeply into each of these tools\, finding creative and intentional ways to set up ritual space to best serve the magic we seek. \n  \nIn this workshop we will: \n  \n\nWork with grounding & alignment to locate and build self-sovereignty\nPlay witchy games to practice feeling and sensing energy\nHone our ability to direct energy through multiple methods of circle casting\nInvoke and dance with our divine selves\nLearn some about the history of witch’s association with crossroads\nOpen the crossroads and listen for the spirits that arrive\n\n  \nWhat to Bring: \n\nWhatever you need to be comfortable for two hours – cushion\, blanket\, water\nWand for circle casting if that’s your jam (or we’ll just use hands if you don’t have one)\n\n  \nAll are welcome. You do not need to have magical experience or identify as a witch to join! Sliding scale pricing is offered for this class at three different price points. \n \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \nSilen Wellington (they/he) is a ritualist\, storyteller\, composer\, poet\, genderqueer shapeshifter\, mercurial name collector\, and lover\, among other things. They facilitate groups\, rituals\, support circles\, interactive performances\, and creative workshops. They are a witch and teacher in the Reclaiming Tradition of witchcraft and an Initiate of the Wildwood Tradition. They have been practicing witchcraft since 2015\, teaching since 2021\, and remembering witchcraft their entire life. A lover of thresholds\, their witchcraft weaves together animism\, sound\, play\, ritual\, performance\, poetry\, and devotion. They practice to deepen communion with Mystery\, to show up and be fully present in the world\, and to steward better futures. Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \n  \nA trauma informed yoga class for emotional regulation and release through movement and breathwork. Suitable for all ability levels. Expect to make noise\, breathe deep\, and move energy through somatic movement and yoga asanas. A safe space to breathe\, move\, release\, feel\, and regulate. Taught by Liora Lionheart\, one of Ritualcravt’s Herbalist House Witches. Liora has been teaching various forms of yoga since 2020\, including vinyasa\, ashtanga\, kundalini\, and yin yoga. Please bring your own mat and water! Option to bring a blanket if you’d like as well. \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \nLiora Lionheart is a professional herbalist\, yoga teacher\, tarot reader\, and witch. Having a passion for community and healing\, Liora focuses their energy on how to best serve their community through magic\, movement\, and herbs! Originally from Texas\, Liora went to Wildflower School of Botanical Medicine\, as well as founded the group Austin’s Queer Coven. You can find them working at Ritualcravt as one of the Herbalist House Witches\, foraging in the mountains\, dancing at edm concerts\, tending to their home and yard\, or making potions in their witchcraft room.

Jim Jarmusch)\, focusing in particular on the different portrayals of vampire love. With captivating themes such as forbidden love and cursed immortality\, as well as fairy-tale motifs and archetypes\, we will look at how each film references and reimagines literary inspirations\, costume design\, setting and atmosphere\, and what it is about these iconic relationships that holds us in thrall year after year\, sending us back for repeat viewings of our comfort films in which “Love never dies.” NOTE: Class will be offered two times—choose the one that fits your schedule! \n  \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR \nSusan Redington Bobby\, the founder of Professor of Words\, LLC\, is an online teacher\, a freelance editor\, a writing mentor\, and a tutor. Her specialty is being able to read people on a deeper level through their writing\, and she has recently completed a certificate course on integrative somatic trauma therapy.  She is a retired professor of English with expertise in fairy tales\, adolescent literature\, goddess archetypes\, magical realism\, creative writing\, and film studies. She is the author of Beyond His Dark Materials\, the editor of Fairy Tales Reimagined\, and co-editor of The Artemis Archetype in Popular Culture. The Series Editor of Tales from Fiddler’s Green\, she also occasionally publishes creative fiction. She is currently studying the Bardic Course in Druidry from OBOD. She maintains Mellie’s Grove\, a certified NWF backyard wildlife habitat that is home to a rescued and small stabilized cat family and all manner of wildlife.
