SUMMARY:{IN PERSON} Working with Poisonous Plant Flower Essences
DESCRIPTION:PLEASE READ: This class is IN PERSON. TICKETS ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE. Class fees are non transferable\, we stick to the student agreements agreed upon during registration. Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \nIn this workshop\, participants will learn the history\, mythology\, and magick of various poisonous plant allies\, and how to work with them in the potent preparation of the flower essence. We will discuss the efficacy of the poisonous plant allies as spiritual medicines\, as well as how to work with the physical plants in a safe manner. \nParticipants will be able to try a variety of poisonous plant flower essences and prepare their own ritual blend of the essences offered to take home. Please note that this class will NOT involve the ingestion of ANY poisonous plants. \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \nIsabel Gareau (they/them) is a Tarot reader\, astrologer\, and Clinical Herbalist currently residing on traditional and unceded territories of Ute\, Cheyenne\, and Arapahoe Peoples in so-called Denver\, Colorado. They have been studying the esoteric arts for the past 12 years\, offering readings\, herbal care\, and classes to members of the community for the past seven. Isabel has been one of Ritualcravt’s resident practitioners since 2024\, and is a recent graduate from the Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism. Isabel also possesses a Bachelor’s of Science in Phytochemistry from Cornell University\, and has studied astrology with mentors such as Austin Coppock\, Demetra George\, and Pallas K. Augustine. Isabel’s primary focus is in astrologically-timed herbal medicine techniques\, decan-focused practice of astrology and Tarot\, and a holistic\, nervous system-centered approach to wellness.

Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \nWe each have a personal direct-line to Spirit\, but may need some help to reawaken it. Shamanism – the trained spiritual trance practices of Animism – is still here\, and it still works. \nWhether you’re new to shamanic practices or want to build on what you already have\, this workshop is designed to help. As we explore shamanic journeying in-depth\, you enhance your journey-confidence\, and gain experience with the over-all process. \n \nWe’ll work with the Lower\, Upper and Middle Worlds through a variety of journeys; create context and structure for your practice; look a bit at healing\, divination\, and the history of shamanism; trouble-shoot any questions that arise; and then do more journeying\, including Power Animals Retrievals.\nSessions run 10:30 am to 5:30 pm both days\, Saturday Oct 17th & Sunday 18th\, with a 1-hour break for lunch.
Please plan to arrive around 10:00am to get settled in. \nPlease bring/wear:
— note-taking materials\n— a drum and/or rattle if you already have these\n— comfortable clothes\n— brown-bag your lunch (or find options nearby)\n— a bandana/scarf eye-covering (for maximum darkness)\n— a rock\, ideally about grapefruit/softball sized\n— optional: your own small blanket or yoga pad \nRenna Shesso’s shamanic work began in the late 1980s\, built on intensive studies with Sandra Ingerman and other formal teachers\, work that continues to this day. She carries several decades of personal experience as a shamanic teacher and healing practitioner.
