Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \nBuild your herbal apothecary and learn how to craft a medicinal salve for troubled skin\, minor first-aid needs\, and everyday care. In this hands-on workshop\, we’ll explore the idea of herbs of place and how familiar\, locally abundant plants can become part of a practical home apothecary. Together\, we’ll work with herbs such as calendula\, plantain\, yarrow\, lavender\, and other skin-supportive botanicals while learning how to choose plants based on their medicinal action. We’ll touch base on infusing herbal oils\, explore solar and gentle heat infusion methods\, and learn how beeswax transforms an infused oil into a useful topical salve or lip balm! Along the way\, we’ll consider what it means to practice bioregional herbalism: noticing the plants that grow around us\, learning their stories and uses\, and building relationships with the landscapes we call home. We’ll also discuss thoughtful harvesting\, basic formulation\, and how to adjust the texture of a salve for different uses. This is practical folk herbalism with a touch of kitchen witchery\, rooted in observation\, relationship\, and the medicine of place. Each participant will leave with a handcrafted herbal salve and the foundational knowledge to continue making infused oils and salves at home. \nThis class is educational and rooted in traditional herbal practice. It is not intended to diagnose\, treat\, cure\, or prevent disease. \n  \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \n\nLauren Ann Nichols Sheffler is a certified herbalist\, educator\, and wildland steward whose work is rooted in bioregional herbalism\, ethical sourcing\, botanical stewardship\, and reciprocal relationships between plants\, people\, and place. A graduate of the Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism\, Lauren has spent seven years specializing in herbal distillation and handcrafting hydrosols from fresh plants. Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \n  \nHow do you talk to Gods\, Ancestors\, spiritual allies\, or other beings? How might you invite them to your ritual? How do you get out of the “script” of ritual and invoke divine beings in ways that truly move you?  \n  \nThis workshop is a deep dive on invocations\, an important tool used in ritual to work with those allies who aid and sponsor the magic you want to bring forth. We will explore invocations not as a command\, but as a calling\, an invitation\, a seduction\, a flirtation with the Gods\, spirits\, plants\, and other beings who may want to join us.  \n  \nIn this workshop we will: \n  \n\nCreate sacred space through grounding\, circle casting & calling to the Elements\nTrance to meet our allies in the spiritual realm\nExplore what invocations are & why they’re important\nPlay with writing prompts to try on different ways of calling to the Elements\, Gods\, or other allies of our choosing\nGet creative with sound and movement as channels of power and communication.\n\n  \nWhat to Bring: \n\nWhatever you need to be comfortable for two hours – cushion\, blanket\, water\nIf you are called – an altar item for any energies you want to call in (be that Elements\, specific spirits\, or Ancestors)\n\n  \nThis workshop will help you develop a deeper capacity to communicate with the unseen\, and a deeper relationship to the living animacy in all things. All are welcome. You do not need to have magical experience or identify as a witch to join! Sliding scale pricing is offered for this class at three different price points. \n \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \nSilen Wellington (they/he) is a ritualist\, storyteller\, composer\, poet\, genderqueer shapeshifter\, mercurial name collector\, and lover\, among other things. They facilitate groups\, rituals\, support circles\, interactive performances\, and creative workshops. They are a witch and teacher in the Reclaiming Tradition of witchcraft and an Initiate of the Wildwood Tradition. They have been practicing witchcraft since 2015\, teaching since 2021\, and remembering witchcraft their entire life. A lover of thresholds\, their witchcraft weaves together animism\, sound\, play\, ritual\, performance\, poetry\, and devotion. They practice to deepen communion with Mystery\, to show up and be fully present in the world\, and to steward better futures. Expect intention setting and a short guided meditation before moving through a yoga sequence. We will be synching our breath to movement to infuse our intention with our energy. Taught by Liora Lionheart\, one of Ritualcravt’s Herbalist House Witches. Liora has been teaching various forms of yoga since 2020\, including vinyasa\, ashtanga\, kundalini\, and yin yoga.\nPlease bring your own mat and water!
