Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \n\n\nTravel back to an era before smart watches and cell phones\, when people wove time out of sacred symbols\, seasonal rituals\, and everyday folk magic. \nWe’ll begin with a swift journey through the world’s sacred calendars—how ancient cultures turned the movements of the sun\, moon\, and the stars into ritual rhythms\, feast days\, and liminal nights when the veil thins and the magic is potent. From sacred festivities to folk almanacs\, you’ll see how tracking time has always been a way to navigate the year and work with providence\, spirits\, and the land. \nFrom there\, we dive into the wisdom of the North: Scandinavian calendar sticks\, or Primstavs. These carved staffs encode the ritual year in simple\, potent symbols—axes and keys\, crosses\, animals\, stars and more—marking days of power for work\, rest\, divination\, and protection. We will learn how Christian feast days overlaid older seasonal rites and how the working people quietly read signs of the weather\, warnings and luck in their sticks. \nFinally\, we will translate these ideas into our own craft. Through reflection and simple symbol‑making\, we’ll sketch a personal calendar stick that maps our most important events: sabbats\, changes in the seasons\, and auspicious times for spellwork. You’ll leave with historical insight\, fresh inspiration for seasonal magic\, and a tangible way to live more deeply in rhythm with the cycles that shape your practice. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYOUR INSTRUCTOR:\n\nKyn Morgan \nKyn is an artist and folk magic practitioner born and raised in Colorado. She lives high in the Colorado Rocky Mountains\, where she draws inspiration and renewal from the quiet\, powerful presence of the land around her. \nKyn’s magical path began in her early twenties with dedicated practice in a Wiccan tradition\, where she developed a strong foundation in ritual structure\, ethics\, and energy work. From there\, she moved into more formal ritual magic\, studying under tutors from upstate New York and deepening her understanding of ceremonial technique\, planetary energies\, and disciplined spiritual practice. \nHer studies later led her to Scandinavian Folk Magic traditions under the guidance of Missy Rhysing\, weaving ancestral traditions\, land-based practice\, and folk spellcraft into her work. Today\, Kyn’s practice centers around communication with spirits\, divination\, spell-crafting\, and mindful\, intentional ritual. \nIn all of her work\, Kyn emphasizes personal sovereignty\, respectful relationship with the seen and unseen\, and a grounded\, soul-centered approach to magic\, all rooted in the mountains she calls home.

Registration closes one hour prior to class starting. \n  \nThis class will cover some potent plants and preparations geared towards folks in the food and beverage service industry\, who may experience a specific degree of liver taxation\, weakened immunity\, and nervous system exhaustion related to their line of work. We will discuss different presentations of these health patterns\, as well as which herbs are specifically geared toward addressing them. We will also discuss some nervous system regulation practices and the principles of harm reduction when considering alcohol and drug use. At the end of the class\, participants will have the opportunity to taste an array of the herbs and remedies discussed\, some of which will be made available for purchase exclusively to participants. \n  \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \nIsabel Gareau (they/them) is a Tarot reader\, astrologer\, and herbalist currently residing on traditional and unceded territories of Ute\, Cheyenne\, and Arapahoe Peoples in so-called Denver\, Colorado. They have been studying the esoteric arts for the past 11 years\, offering Tarot and astrology readings to members of the community for the past six. Isabel practices from a process-based and Jungian approach\, helping querents to understand and empower their own personal narrative through storytelling and deep inner listening. Isabel has been one of the House Readers at Ritualcravt since 2024.

Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \nBuild your herbal apothecary and learn how to craft a medicinal salve for troubled skin\, minor first-aid needs\, and everyday care. In this hands-on workshop\, we’ll explore the idea of herbs of place and how familiar\, locally abundant plants can become part of a practical home apothecary. Together\, we’ll work with herbs such as calendula\, plantain\, yarrow\, lavender\, and other skin-supportive botanicals while learning how to choose plants based on their medicinal action. We’ll touch base on infusing herbal oils\, explore solar and gentle heat infusion methods\, and learn how beeswax transforms an infused oil into a useful topical salve or lip balm! Along the way\, we’ll consider what it means to practice bioregional herbalism: noticing the plants that grow around us\, learning their stories and uses\, and building relationships with the landscapes we call home. We’ll also discuss thoughtful harvesting\, basic formulation\, and how to adjust the texture of a salve for different uses. This is practical folk herbalism with a touch of kitchen witchery\, rooted in observation\, relationship\, and the medicine of place. Each participant will leave with a handcrafted herbal salve and the foundational knowledge to continue making infused oils and salves at home. \nThis class is educational and rooted in traditional herbal practice. It is not intended to diagnose\, treat\, cure\, or prevent disease. \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \n\nLauren Ann Nichols Sheffler is a certified herbalist\, educator\, and wildland steward whose work is rooted in bioregional herbalism\, ethical sourcing\, botanical stewardship\, and reciprocal relationships between plants\, people\, and place. A graduate of the Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism\, Lauren has spent seven years specializing in herbal distillation and handcrafting hydrosols from fresh plants. What do you do in ritual to really be moved by the magic you seek? Come to this workshop to develop tools for ecstatic ritual practice! This practice will help get you more comfortable designing your own rituals\, stepping out of the script\, and listening to the magic that wants to speak through you. \n  \nIn this workshop we will: \n  \n\nExplore trancework as a tool for enchantment & spellcasting\nCraft ritual intentions to guide our magic\nDiscuss different types of ritual technology and the basics of spellcraft\nWork with movement\, drumming\, and song to practice improvisatory\, emergent magic\n\n  \nAll are welcome. You do not need to have magical experience or identify as a witch to join!
