Learn the basics of ceremonial magick – how to invoke, banish, and cleanse the powers of the four elements. The Lesser Ritual of the Pentagram underlies much of modern magical practice, and is seen by many as the crown jewel ritual in the current of Western Esotericism that reached its peak of influence in the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. This central practice of “calling the quarters” has a stabilizing and purifying effect on the mind-body complex, and in many traditions forms the basic building block on which all other ritual is built. We will discuss – and experience – the four elements in the physical and subtle body, mind, society, nature, and the Qabbalistic Tree of Life, delving into the Four Worlds and how these integral teachings can help us in our magickal practice and light our way forward on the path.
