Magical practitioners and spiritual workers are often turned to in times of intense need. It is a sacred honor to aid our communities in this way, but how does the magical worker take care of their own needs? How do we process the stories we hear without breaking the confidentiality that our clients need to feel safe with us? This class is for professional practitioners or those who are considering “going pro” who need tools, both magical and “mundane,” to address the secondary trauma that comes along with repeated exposure to people in pain and would like to explore the ethics and responsibilities that come with working with clients professionally.
While Sterling Moon has been a professional magical worker since 2013, she has also worked as an advocate for those who have experienced trauma for almost 20 years. She is thrilled to bring strategies from the advocacy field into the magical world so our community can continue to foster resilient and ethical workers.
