Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \n  \nHave you ever picked up an item and gotten a sense of the stories behind it? \nPsychometry involves receiving psychic impressions about an object\, person\, place\, or event by physically handling an item associated with them. The first hour of the circle will include basic information about the process\, the psychic senses that make psychometry possible\, and preparation for hands-on practice. The second hour will be spent in practice\, handling available items and seeing what impressions we get\, including if what we get can be verified. However\, this isn’t so much as “right and wrong” as it is about practice and having fun! \nThere will be a variety of items to practice with including found objects\, items that have been used in magical workings\, and those thought to be haunted or otherwise attached to a spirit. As we depart the darkest part of the year\, we look forward to new growth\, blossoms\, and the light that Spring brings to us. This new life is not possible without the inevitability of death\, decay\, and the resulting recycling of natural materials. \nLikewise\, cicadas follow a similar rhythm. Eggs of the cicada are laid beneath tree bark and the young hatchlings fall to the ground and burrow beneath the earth. Depending on the species\, cicada nymphs will lay beneath the soil for weeks to years\, until they finally emerge in large quantities to molt into adulthood\, mate\, and continue the cycle. This journey to the underworld\, and an existence of dormancy is a natural reflection of Persephone’s journey between Hades and the world of the living. \nThis class will discuss the beneficial cycle of life and death and how it relates to the myth of Persephone. We will touch on the fascinating mystery cult of Eleusis\, and tie these themes to the life cycle of cicadas. There are many beautiful lessons to learn from this chthonic journey and its important role in helping us accept the reality of death and decay. \nEach ticket also includes a small shadow box\, a cicada specimen\, some dried flowers\, and a brief instruction on how to create a devotional art piece to Persephone. \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \nJess is a Denver-based artist who creates small sculptures and jewelry using elements of nature.\nJess creates imaginative miniature worlds honoring elements of nature and science. Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \n  \nFolk traditions teach us to infuse magic into everyday activities like cooking\, cleaning\, bathing\, and more. It’s a wonderful way to make magic a way of life. \nIn this in-person workshop\, Sterling Moon will introduce participants to the magic of floorwashes. Floorwashes are essentially spells for changing the energy of a space\, dispelling what’s unwanted\, or calling in what’s  desirable. The spell is “activated” through the mundane activity of mopping and wiping down commonly used spaces. They are a staple in many folk magic traditions. \nSterling will guide participants through making their own blends\, beyond throwing a bunch of herbs and curios together. Sterling will walk participants through divining what needs attention in their home or lives and the process of waking up and listening to the spirits of magical materia like herbs and curios\, ensuring that it all works in harmony. Everyone will leave with floorwashes that are uniquely their own magic. \n  \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \n\n\n\n\nSterling Moon (she/her) is a full time\, heels-on-the-ground\, tarot reader\, psychic medium\, folk magician\, animal communicator\, published author\, podcaster\, and an educator on the mystical and strange. Sterling has been working with clients and teaching professionally since 2013 and has been a teacher with Ritualcravt School since 2017. \nShe is the author of Talking to Spirits: A Modern Medium’s Practical Advice for Spirit Communication (2023) and Llewellyn’s Little Book of Spirit Communication (2025)\, published by Llewelyn Books. Each flower in your arrangement will be phosphorescent (glow in the dark). Each garden will glow and last for decades to come. \n\n\nYOUR INSTRUCTOR:\n\nWith an undying love for nature and its respective curiosities\, there are few things Tyler’s brain isn’t obsessing over. Between his pursuits to crystallize the world\, opalize everything\, and hunt down some of the realm’s most unique plants\, his passion to combine art and science every step of the way is his fire and fuel. \nTyler has a wide range of projects under his belt including but not limited to crystallizing insects\, creating some of the world’s first and only opalized insects and flowers\, hybridizing plants and creating new cultivars\, capturing the natural world through illustration\, creating a series of scientific and strange alchemy inspired toys\, tending to gardens of dried glowing flora and a few published books including “The Wisdom of the Furnace”\, “Grow a Damn” and his new book “The Universe in 100 colors”.

This meet-up is designed to be a facilitated space for those interested in tarot\, not a “class.”  \nTarot meet-ups will start with a monthly topic discussion decided by your facilitator or the prior month’s group! Your facilitator will be there to offer topics for discussion\, hold space for questions\, encourage “practice” readings\, and provide time for intentional community building as it fits the group.\nPlease come with your tarot deck and your curiosity! Tarot decks will also be available to borrow if you do not have your own just yet! \n  \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \nReese Quinn (she/they) is a tarot and astrology reader and what they lovingly call a practical witch. They have a strong awareness of the crossroads between astrology\, cartomancy\, and elemental practices. You’ll note that Reese embraces their queer\, intersectional identities when both teaching and reading. Reese has been a reader at Ritualcravt for over two years and has studied with well-known witches like Lindsay Mack and Pam Grossman and well-respected teachers locally in Denver.
