Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \nThis class is a 5-week series taking place Sundays from 2-4pm on July 27\, Aug 3\, 10\, 17\, and 24th! \nQ: How can I plan for a future that’s unknown?\nA: By knowing – by having more information! \nThe Tarot is a tool to illuminate our personal road maps. It overlaps many other disciplines\, all expressed here though art. Specifically\, this is art that delivers practical information wrapping in a sensory visual experience. As we craft an ever-stronger working alliance with the cards\, magic happens. \nWe’ll begin with thorough orientations:\n— the Minor Arcana via the elements (Week 1);\n— the Court Cards for identity and connection (Week 2);\n— the Major Arcana with myths and archetypes (Week 3);\nand then take this material into\n— alliance-deepening personal work (Week 4);\n— reading the Tarot for yourself and for others\, and for maximum personal creativity and well-being (Week 5).\nThis series is for beginners and beyond. Please plan on allowing a couple of hours every week for take-home assignments between our class sessions.

— A fully illustrated tarot deck\, i.e. instead of simply seeing five Cups\, you’ll see people/beings interacting with three Cups. I recommend the Smith-Waite tarot deck (aka Pamela Colman Smith\, Rider-Waite-Smith\, RWS). I’ll share my personal story about my relationships with plants and the benefits of working spiritually with them. You’ll be encouraged to share about your already established friendships with the plant community – and it’s totally okay if this is new to you and you’re just discovering the possibility of a new plant ally. Through deep imaginative dream space\, you’ll be guided to connect with a plant\, talk with and feel into them; asking questions and receiving answers. I’ll introduce several practices to help engage with your plant beloved. And we’ll make some plant potions to help open the path of deepening into the numinous language of plants. The first hour of the circle will include basic information about the process\, the psychic senses that make psychometry possible\, and preparation for hands-on practice. The second hour will be spent in practice\, handling available items and seeing what impressions we get\, including if what we get can be verified. However\, this isn’t so much as “right and wrong” as it is about practice and having fun! \nThere will be a variety of items to practice with including found objects\, items that have been used in magical workings\, and those thought to be haunted or otherwise attached to a spirit. No experience is necessary\, all students receive 1 cotton bandana along with guidance and many flowers\, pigment rich plants\, and modifiers to create your own unique pattern. I hold a BA in Psychology and am a certified life coach.
