SUMMARY:{IN PERSON} Introduction to Spirit-Guided Journeying
DESCRIPTION:PLEASE READ: This class is IN PERSON. TICKETS ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE. Class fees are non transferable\, we stick to the student agreements agreed upon during registration. Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \n\nWe each have a personal direct-line to spirit\, but may need some help to reawaken it. The spiritual practices of Animism – often called Shamanism – offer an ancient and profound pathway into Spirit\, and this short class is an introduction to the  trance-work of “journeying\,” a vital skill for this path. \nThe ability to intentionally shift into a trance state and commune with our spirit-plane helpers is an asset to many spiritual paths\, and journeying is one very dependable means of doing that – for guidance\, for healing\, and for the outright joy of direct connection with Spirit. \n\nIn this gathering\, we’ll play with the rudiments of drum-driven journeying to begin meeting the personal allies that live in that place of spirit. Welcome to this empowering path!\n\nPlease bring/wear: \n\n— Note-taking materials\n— Comfortable clothes you can move and lay down in\n— A bandana/scarf eye-covering (for maximum darkness)\n— Optional: your own small blanket or yoga pad\n\nRenna Shesso’s shamanic work began in the late 1980s\, built on intensive studies with Sandra Ingerman and other formal teachers\, work that continues to this day. She carries several decades of experience as a shamanic practitioner and teacher. You can find more on her website: https://www.rennashesso.com \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \n\nRenna Shesso is a shamanic healing practitioner and teacher\, professional tarot reader\, priestess of the Craft\, and writer. \n\n\nShe began exploring magical knowledge-paths as a young adult\, learning astrology from her grandmother\, and has expended her interests exponentially in the decades since then. In addition to her own self-published zines on magical workings\, Renna is the author of Planets for Pagans and Math for Mystics (both published by Weiser Books). While privileged to study with many fine teachers\, she turns to Nature Herself as the ultimate teacher and healer.

Join us to discuss the meaning and symbolism of this card\, as well as figure out its place in your own personal narrative. This class will feature a 1 hour lecture on the card itself\, followed by a 1 hour workshop of Tarot spreads and astrological techniques to consider when approaching the Wheel of Fortune. SUMMARY:{IN PERSON} Tarot and Astrology: Tapping the Roots
DESCRIPTION:PLEASE READ: This class is IN PERSON. TICKETS ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE. Class fees are non transferable\, we stick to the student agreements agreed upon during registration. Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \n\n   With the prevalence of the Smith-Waite tarot deck\, many of us have only met Tarot’s astrology associations through the lens of its Golden Dawn origins\, even if we aren’t using that deck. \nSurprise! In fact\, through the centuries\, tarot-astro connections have wandered throughout the sky\, pairing the planets and constellations in completely different ways. We’ll look at several key decks-of-old – Etteilla\, Wirth\, Falconnier\, and Picard – for unique astro-associations\, perspectives\, insights and knowledge in each. An awareness of these roots helps deepen our capacity to bring sky-knowledge down to earth\, enriching our own wise tarot-usage. \n\nEspecially if you’ve puzzled over the Smith-Waite/Golden Dawn’s astrology\, or found you just don’t resonate with it\, please join me. The sky is wide open!

\n\n\nPlease bring:\nYour own preferred tarot deck\nNote-taking materials\nIf available\, have your birth chart handy\n\n\nRenna Shesso’s shamanic calling took root in the late 1980s\, built on intensive studies with Sandra Ingerman and other formal teachers\, work that continues to this day. Our relatives in the natural world – plants and sky\, animals and elements – remain her most essential teachers. She carries several decades of experience as a shamanic healing practitioner and teacher.\n\nYOUR INSTRUCTOR: \n\nRenna Shesso is a shamanic healing practitioner and teacher\, professional tarot reader\, priestess of the Craft\, and writer. \n\n\nShe began exploring magical knowledge-paths as a young adult\, learning astrology from her grandmother\, and has expended her interests exponentially in the decades since then. SUMMARY:{IN PERSON} Oshogatsu: Japanese New Year
DESCRIPTION:PLEASE READ: VIRTUAL ZOOM CLASSES OPERATE AS LIVE CLASSES ONLY\, WE DO NOT RECORD TO PROTECT THE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OF OUR TEACHERS. This class is not an in-person class\, it is a live\, online only offering. Registration closes one hour prior to class beginning. \n  \nAlongside the summer ancestor festival of Obon\, Oshogatsu is one of the most sacred of Japanese animist and magical traditions.  During the Japanese New Year\, we welcome Toshigami into our homes.  Traditions vary as to whether Toshigami is the kami of the New Year\, grain or our collective ancestors\, but the principle remains that we must prepare our homes for their arrival.  In this hybrid class\, we will cover the history of this sacred holiday and the rituals associated with it\, including cleansing and purifying\, cord cutting\, sacred decor\, traditional foods\, and the closing of the spiritual container that is held during this time.  This class will include a small tasting of osechi ryori (New Years dishes).  For those especially sensitive\, the dishes will be separated to not cross-contaminate allergens.  Allergens: fish\, shellfish\, soy\, kelp\, egg\, chestnuts\, legumes. \n  \nYOUR INSTRUCTOR \nAkemi Tsutsui-Kunitake is a visual artist\, karate-ka and creator of Live Deliciously. Based in Denver\, her work is informed by her identity as a third and fourth-generation (sansei-han and yonsei)\, mixed-race Japanese American. Her artwork blends themes of Japanese folklore with Western mysticism. She is inspired by the intersectionality of cultural tradition\, ancestral wisdom and modern identity. She is a lifelong student of Shotokan karate-do under the instruction of her father\, Isao Gary Tsutsui\, at Colorado Budokan. \nAkemi has also been fortunate to train with masters of other karate styles in California\, Hawaii and Japan. As karate embodies so many elements that are integral to the Japanese American experience\, she describes karate as her ethnic and spiritual identity in motion. With a formal education in Ethnic Studies\, Akemi has worked in the fields of culturally specific education\, advocacy and holistic health. She has continued her studies through courses on Japanese energetic healing\, Shinto\, deep ancestral work and radical community care. Akemi is a frequent collaborator with the Japanese Arts Network as a Cultural Consultant and artistic partner.

SUMMARY:{IN PERSON} Monthly Tarot Meetup!
DESCRIPTION:This class is IN PERSON. TICKETS ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE. Class fees are non transferable\, we stick to the student agreements agreed upon during registration. Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \n  \nJoin us for our monthly tarot meet-up! This meet-up is designed to be a facilitated space for those interested in tarot\, not a “class.” There will be two facilitators\, current readers here at Ritualcravt – Andrea Carla and Reese Quinn. \nTarot meet-ups will start and end with reflections on the past month’s tarot pulls\, a themed topic discussion\, and then will be driven by you! Your facilitators will be there to offer discussion areas\, hold space for questions\, encourage “practice” readings\, and provide time for intentional community building as it fits the group. \nPlease come with your tarot deck and your curiosity! \n  \nYOUR INSTRUCTORS: \nAndrea’s fascination with reading cards began from a young age after being introduced to the Smith-Waite Tarot. From then on\, she began to explore different methods of divination and fell in love with Lenormand\, a system of cartomancy originating in late 18th century Europe. Andrea’s style of reading cards could be described as pragmatic and deeply rooted in tradition\, influenced by a true reverence for the sibyls of the past. As a teacher\, Andrea has both an academic and scholarly approach to the way that she presents her classes as well as sharing from her experiences and gnosis as a professional reader. She considers the Tarot to be a book of esoteric mysteries and has spent years of her life in studying and peeling back its many layers to share the knowledge and wisdom embedded in every card. \nReese Quinn (she/they) is a tarot and astrology reader and what they lovingly call a practical witch. They have a strong awareness of the crossroads between astrology\, cartomancy\, and elemental practices. You’ll note that Reese embraces their queer\, intersectional identities when both teaching and reading. Reese has been a reader at Ritualcravt for over two years and has studied with well-known witches like Lindsay Mack and Pam Grossman and well-respected teachers locally in Denver. In 2021-2022\, they completed an apprenticeship with best-selling author and reader of 20+ years\, Stefanie Caponi. Their writing is available via the Moon Void Tarot website and they have additional works forthcoming. (@western.moon.witch)

Registration closes one hour prior to class beginning. \n  \nAncestral Magic is a two-part class formulated to supplement and expand on ideas within “Ancestral Magic” (2025)\, including sharing more in-depth experiences that Frankie has experienced in their reconnective journey\, folk magic and tradition as a method of reconnective work\, accountability in community\, and learning about culture and ancestors from an Italian-American viewpoint. \nWhen we reconnect\, we have to center accountability in reconnection. What does it look like to remove problematic traditions and rituals and engage with them in a new way? What does it mean to establish community\, find teachers and respectfully approaching cultures you aren’t a part of? What are the red flags as we build and find community\, and how can we be a better ancestor moving forward? While our first class looks at the beginning steps of reconnection\, Part 2 builds upon the ideas of ancestral magic and work through the lens of a reconstruction\, respect\, and understanding our relation to not just diasporic culture and community\, but ancestral culture and community. \nPART 1: Ancestral Magic: Reconnection & Learning from the Folk\, Nov. 8\, 6:30-8-30pm \nWhat is reconnection? Why do we reconnect? This class explores what reconnection to community\, ancestors\, and more mean through various methods including exploration of homeland and diaspora\, learning from the folk and folk magic\, ancestral veneration and different sets of ancestors\, connecting to other ancestral spirits and embodying your ancestral practice. This workshop focuses on foundational aspects of an ancestral and reconnective practice\, exploring working with ancestral allies\, making space for ancestors in your practice\, and building altars. \nPart 2: Ancestral Magic: Accountability and Learning from the Folk\, Nov. 22\, 6:30-8:30pm \nWhen we reconnect\, we have to center accountability in reconnection. What does it look like to remove problematic traditions and rituals and engage with them in a new way? What does it mean to establish community\, find teachers and respectfully approaching cultures you aren’t a part of? What are the red flags as we build and find community\, and how can we be a better ancestor moving forward? They learn from being in community with other Italian-Americans and folk practitioners\, their own spirits\, and are driven by their ancestors in almost all things they do\, sharing their ways of reconnection and reconstruction via Instagram\, Youtube\, Patreon and their blog\, Chaotic Folk Magic\, through their website (chaoticwitchaunt.com). They run a small online shop of ancestral and folk magic guided wares\, believes in the power of the color red\, and reads tarot\, Italian playing cards\, and offers professional spell consultations at Ritualcravt in Wheat Ridge\, Colorado. SUMMARY:{IN PERSON} Seance: Parting the Veil
DESCRIPTION:PLEASE READ: This class is IN PERSON. TICKETS ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE. Class fees are non transferable\, we stick to the student agreements agreed upon during registration. Please ensure you are able to attend the scheduled class time. \n  \nFor one night\, the veil between worlds grows thin — and the voices of the spirit world may be heard. \nJoin Kaedrich and Nelly Olsen for an immersive evening of seance\, where you won’t just witness spirit communication… you’ll learn to experience it for yourself. Together we will guide you through the timeless techniques that open the gateway to the unseen realms — from ouija boards and pendulums\, to automatic handwriting and mirror gazing. \nThis is not a performance. It is a living\, breathing seance — where you are invited to step beyond being an observer and actively participate in the mysteries. You’ll discover how to sense the subtle presence of spirit\, engage with the tools of communication\, and receive messages that may be meant for you… or for others in the circle. \nPlease note: no specific messages from departed loved ones can be guaranteed. Instead\, come with openness\, curiosity\, and a willingness to share what comes through. The spirits speak in unexpected ways\, and often their messages find the one who needs them most. \nWhether you are a seasoned seeker or stepping into this work for the first time\, this is your chance to: \n\n\nLearn hands-on techniques for spirit communication \n\n\nExperience the veil thinning in a guided\, protected setting \n\n\nAwaken your own latent gifts of perception and intuition \n\n\nStep into the circle. Peer through the veil. Let the spirits speak. \n\nYOUR INSTRUCTORS: \nKaedrich Olsen is an author\, speaker\, and spiritual teacher with over 30 years of experience in Norse mysticism\, shadow work\, and spirit communication. Raised in a haunted house and trained in seance from a young age\, he has guided countless people in connecting with the unseen realms for healing\, guidance\, and transformation. \nNelly Olsen brings a compassionate and intuitive presence to the work\, drawing on her own gifts in mediumship and ancestral connection. Together\, Kaedrich and Nelly create a sacred container for participants to step beyond the veil\, discover the wisdom of their ancestors\, and engage the mirror as a living portal to the spirit world.
