{VIRTUAL} Shared Myths: Empowering Parents and Teens Through Goddess Archetypes

In this brand-new offering, I’d like to invite parents and teens to learn and work together in this class on Greek goddess archetypes and the ways they manifest in our lives. In this unique collaborative workshop, you’ll bridge the generational gap by learning how to identify unique traits in one another that connect you with the goddesses and the power of their stories.

I’ll be covering all the aspects of the seven Greek goddesses and their characteristics, followed by dedicated time for each parent and teen to identify the traits in themselves and each other. We will use a “Goddess Archetype Profile” checklist—a practical tool that you can keep for future use and continued discovery.

This side-by-side endeavor will help each parent and teen learn more about their interpersonal relationships and offer a shared language to ease understanding and connection. Perfect for those who wish to celebrate the spring with a meaningful and creative rite of passage, we will conclude the class with a candle-lighting ritual to honor the bond you have created.

YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Susan Redington Bobby, the founder of Professor of Words, LLC, is an online teacher, a freelance editor, a writing mentor, and a tutor. Her specialty is being able to read people on a deeper level through their writing, and she has recently completed a certificate course on integrative somatic trauma therapy.  She is a retired professor of English with expertise in fairy tales, adolescent literature, goddess archetypes, magical realism, creative writing, and film studies. She is the author of Beyond His Dark Materials, the editor of Fairy Tales Reimagined, and co-editor of The Artemis Archetype in Popular Culture. The Series Editor of Tales from Fiddler’s Green, she also occasionally publishes creative fiction. She is currently studying the Bardic Course in Druidry from OBOD. She maintains Mellie’s Grove, a certified NWF backyard wildlife habitat that is home to a rescued and small stabilized cat family and all manner of wildlife.
