Step into an afternoon of old-world magic and creativity as we delve into the enchanting story and craft of the witch's ladder!

We’ll start with a brief introduction and grounding exercise, followed by a slideshow walking through the history, lore, and myths of the witch’s ladder—from rural European whispers, to modern interpretations. We'll examine its use in protection, blessings, baneful workings, and healing.

Next, we’ll explore the components of a witch’s ladder, discuss how things like intention, pattern, number, and rhythm influence the work, and review ethics and best practices in spell-crafting, including energetic hygiene and spiritual boundaries.

Students will then select their purpose and materials during guided design time and craft personal ladders for protection, prosperity, healing, or new beginnings. We’ll conclude with a discussion on how to activate, maintain, and possibly release or retire a ladder.

Participants will leave with a crafted piece of magic and the confidence to continue this spell-crafting tradition in their own practice.

Basic supplies will be provided, and please feel free to bring any special objects like feathers, ribbons, or charms to personalize your ladder!

YOUR INSTRUCTOR:

Kyn Morgan

Kyn is an artist and folk magic practitioner born and raised in Colorado. She lives high in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, where she draws inspiration and renewal from the quiet, powerful presence of the land around her.

Kyn’s magical path began in her early twenties with dedicated practice in a Wiccan tradition, where she developed a strong foundation in ritual structure, ethics, and energy work. From there, she moved into more formal ritual magic, studying under tutors from upstate New York and deepening her understanding of ceremonial technique, planetary energies, and disciplined spiritual practice.

Her studies later led her to Scandinavian Folk Magic traditions under the guidance of Missy Rhysing, weaving ancestral traditions, land-based practice, and folk spellcraft into her work. Today, Kyn’s practice centers around communication with spirits, divination, spell-crafting, and mindful, intentional ritual.

In all of her work, Kyn emphasizes personal sovereignty, respectful relationship with the seen and unseen, and a grounded, soul-centered approach to magic, all rooted in the mountains she calls home.
