{IN PERSON} Herbal Support for Service Industry Workers

This class will cover some potent plants and preparations geared towards folks in the food and beverage service industry, who may experience a specific degree of liver taxation, weakened immunity, and nervous system exhaustion related to their line of work. We will discuss different presentations of these health patterns, as well as which herbs are specifically geared toward addressing them. We will also discuss some nervous system regulation practices and the principles of harm reduction when considering alcohol and drug use. At the end of the class, participants will have the opportunity to taste an array of the herbs and remedies discussed, some of which will be made available for purchase exclusively to participants.

This class series is hybrid in-person AND virtual, you may choose your ticket below to come to the shop in-person for the class, or choose the virtual option to participate online. This class takes place on Nov. 11, 4-6pm.

YOUR INSTRUCTOR:

Isabel Gareau (they/them) is an herbalist currently completing their Clinical Certification at the Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism. They have studied plants in a variety of contexts, both through folk tradition passed down from their Italian ancestors as well as during their studies in Phytochemistry at Cornell University. Isabel is an avid gardener, botanist, rogue chef, and cocktail enthusiast with years of experience in the service industry. They currently work at the Dew Drop Inn as a bartender, and they are one of the house Tarot + Astrology readers at Ritualcravt.
