Hoodoo is an African American folk tradition practiced in the United States known for it’ s  implicit, practicality yet powerful magick.
Using household items for a magickal purpose is a prominent part of Hoodoo for 3 key reasons : Accessibility, Familiarity & Versatility.
We delve into a bit of Hoodoo history in order to give context to what Hoodoo is and is not.
In this class we will work our way from the front door to the back of the home, finding the ‘magickal center’ of each room, while
working with the spirit of the home. This  class includes some common household items , how to use, spiritually empower & combine them for greater efficacy. We wi l l explore practical uses for various spiritual intentions
(ie. Cleans ing, Protec tion, Love & Money Drawing, et c .)

Yona Glickman is a conjureman, cartomancer and teacher of Hoodoo & rootwork.
Born in a family deeply rooted in spirituality and folk magic allowed him to nurture his natural “gift” & relationship with the spirit realm. Itis the diversity in his mentorship as well as his personal life experiences that gives him a well-rounded and practical perspective to his spiritual workings.
As an approachable,“every day man” he prides himself on using the old time tradition of Hoodoo to find solutions for modern day problems.
He is highly skilled and well-versed in candle rituals, biblical magic, herbs, curios and creating handcrafted spiritual products. As One ofthe legacy students of Professor Charles Porterfield, promoting strength in others and keeping the tradition alive is his mission.
