With food and community being a vital part of our existence, it is no surprise that the kitchen is the magic center of the home.
All the culinary herbs and spices that provide nutrition and medicinal value are also imbued with magickal power… in fact in the days of old medicine and magic were NOT seen as separate concepts.
Although the kitchen is a sacred work space, many of its tools and ingredients have spiritual uses beyond the kitchen. For example, recipes used in meals can easily become edible spells or repurposed as spiritual baths/washes, mojo bags, in candle workings etc.
Even basic ingredients transform to potent tools when used with skill. For example black salt and pepper can be sprinkled for protection and sugar can be used to sweeten situations.
This in depth class covers how to create kitchen altars, culinary spells, how to build a relationship with various herbs and using them with purpose from a traditional Hoodoo, Rootwork & Conjure perspective.

Yona Glickman is a conjureman, cartomancer and teacher of Hoodoo & rootwork.
Born in a family deeply rooted in spirituality and folk magic allowed him to nurture his natural “gift” & relationship with the spirit realm. Itis the diversity in his mentorship as well as his personal life experiences that gives him a well-rounded and practical perspective to his spiritual workings.
As an approachable,“every day man” he prides himself on using the old time tradition of Hoodoo to find solutions for modern day problems.
He is highly skilled and well-versed in candle rituals, biblical magic, herbs, curios and creating handcrafted spiritual products.
