In the Northern tradition, the Valkyr are the shieldmaidens of Odin, the Allfather. They would scour the battlefield, discovering the best and bravest souls of the slain to join Odin’s ranks and defend creation against the jotun at Ragnarok – the Final Battle at the end of time.
The Valkyr, however, are no mere servants; they are goddesses in their own right. Northern and Germanic folk traditions have long accessed the Valkyric current to help with love magic, wealth charms, divination, and even cursing. In this workshop, you will learn to wield this type of magic for yourself with the boldness of a Valkyrie using her spear through the use of the sacred art of seidr, a trance-based style of ancient sorcery. Learn the fundamentals of the seidr tradition as described in the Icelandic sagas in an evening of legends, lore, trance, and ritual.
In this workshop, join Klara Wolfe and Jack Grayle to discuss the sacred tradition of the Vakyric Current. Through actual historical anecdote, literary tales, mythic legends and folk traditions, the participants will discover a vibrant yet accessible current that allows them to tap into their hidden wells of strength and intuitive power as led by Klara, a longtime practitioner of Germanic Craft. The evening will include a seidr rite which will culminate in the participants encountering the Valkyrie Sigrun, who will grant them a one-on-one audience and the opportunity to connect directly with this powerful and legendary spirit.

Klara Wolfe is a longtime practitioner of the Northern Tradition. She has spent a decade in the death industry, and has embalmed thousands of people from all walks of life. Her magical practice centers around spirit work, seidr, and necromancy. She is the model embodying the Valkyrie Sigrun in Jack Grayle’s book Sigrun & the Mist, which was named as the second-best occult book of 2024. The deluxe edition of that book contains a magical praxis chapter that is written by Klara, in which she shares her insights and rituals for accessing the Valkyric Current.
Jack Grayle is a devotee of the goddess Hekate. He teaches online classes on ancient spirituality at The Blackthorne School, including ‘Hail Hekate: Walking the Forked Path.’ He also publishes books on myth and magic through his imprint, Araxes Press. His grimoire ‘The Hekataeon’ – a self-initiation into the mysteries of Hekate – has sold out thousands of copies in five separate editions, and has been translated into Spanish and Russian, making it one of the most popular books of its kind for devotees of Hekate. He is also the author of ‘Sigrun & the Mist,’ a full-length Valkyrie verse-play that was named as one of the top three occult books of 2024.
