Witch 101 aims to provide a basic introduction to witchcraft for those interested in walking the
path of the witch.
What this class is:
● A general introduction to witchcraft
● An overview of several common practices to get you started on your journey

What this class isn’t:
● Information on any one particular path or tradition of magic or witchcraft
● An in-depth or step-by-step guide to being a witch

● What is a witch?
● Brief background on the witch as a historical, social, and magical figure.
● Cleaning, Clearing, and Protection Magic
● Altar & Candle Magic
● Moon Magic
● An overview of the moon cycle as a way of working magic
● Tools & Tricks of the Craft
● Common uses for herbs, minerals, and crystals
● Working with the elements
● Tools for divination
● Common misconceptions and myths
● Brief Q&A
● Recommended Teachers and Readings (will be provided after the class via email)

YOUR INSTRUCTOR:

Reese Quinn (she/they) is a tarot and astrology reader and what they lovingly call a practical witch. They have a strong awareness of the crossroads between astrology, cartomancy, and elemental practices. You’ll note that Reese embraces their queer, intersectional identities when both teaching and reading. Reese has been a reader at Ritualcravt for over two years and has studied with well-known witches like Lindsay Mack and Pam Grossman and well-respected teachers locally in Denver. In 2021-2022, they completed an apprenticeship with best-selling author and reader of 20+ years, Stefanie Caponi.
